Shootin at newbies will bring a lotta other newbies in, I guess, some people just like to talk to themselves and their insiders.
Beware of opinions that dont fit your profile.
It might lead you to change.[:D]

edit this what not really a response to you ST
Thats some good advise about the sweating.

When I was raising my adults... I taught them how to go out into society and deal. Now, I taught them that if you walk up to someone and hit them, they just might kick your ass. I taught them that if you present in certain ways... again, they just might kick your ass.

I'm sorry other parents don't teach, when raising their adults, that how you come off, what you do and say... all have an effect and you better be able to conduct yourself in a manner, for which you can handle the response.

If the parents don't teach or the adults don't learn and see reason for it... then they deserve a lesson. Its about fucking time. [;)]

So, are you saying that you didn't learn anything, that none of the replies had any actual information that was useful or *gasp* informative?

Being all up on some high horse is NOT the way to get a positive response among a group of strangers. Go try that 'I'm a princess!' stuff in any random group and you'll get at the very least as much laughter and taunting as you got here, probably even more. The lesson here is that you're human. You want respect, you gotta at least start off being polite.

kitkat offered a very sensible word of advice about knowing first hand what you'd be requiring others to do, and you got all in a snit over it, then came back and whined about the folks taunting you over your snit and just totally ignored everyone actually trying to give you serious replies. That, my dear, is not the behavior of an adult, much less a Domme. It's the behavior of a spoiled brat of a child.

MrBukani -> RE: objectification (3/17/2012 9:34:39 AM)

Here we go again. yea yea yea
Have you considered the response she made that she was a princess and not a slave was in response that someone said you must not expect someone to do for you what you are not willing to do yourself?
Thats kinda saying before you wanna whip and hurt someone you better get whipped yourself first.
duhu.

sincelo -> RE: objectification (3/17/2012 10:04:54 AM)

Hey now, I may have said mine with cheek but i meant it. For a length of time that long i would be a doormat. That way the body wont become fatigued. The peeing on the floor remark was a bit cheeky but hey I like watersports.

Remember that not everyone is going to answer the way you want them to. Take the good posts that you think are relevant and throw the rest behind you.

You have a problem with learning the results of things first hand, particularly when doing something potentially dangerous?

LOL

TNDommeK -> RE: objectification (3/17/2012 11:20:05 AM)

I added nothing to the convo because I haven't used people for furniture in a party like that. I have only done so in sessions and it wasn't ANYWHERE near as long as what yours saying. it was mainly for foot stools, human ashtray type thing (when I used to smoke). however I totally agree with Mynxkat, in everything she last posted.

Some people gave you some crap, yeah, but some of us actually tried to give you some real advice about how you might want to realistically approach this.

MrBukani -> RE: objectification (3/18/2012 10:32:02 AM)

I dont think she will give another answer or start another thread.
Just a hunch.[:D]

Well, I don't know if MrBukani does, but I sure as hell do. And I'm really, really glad that I don't live my life that way. Sometimes I choose to inflict something on myself. Sometimes I don't. Sometimes I bear the brunt of mistakes and sometimes Carol does. Sometimes, I look at something really dangerous and just say, "Well what the fuck." and go do it anyway.

As a general rule here, I'm not sure what in the OP's entire scenario might constitute "really dangerous". At most it seems "unlikely to work out" so an attitude of "go for it" seems plausible. Sure sure, it won't work and we all know that but it's unlikely to end the world as we know it.

OP: I have no idea why the whole "princess" thing got everyone's dander up. Sheez, people all the time with with various honorifics here. Perhaps "princess" isn't as approved as "Mistress"? I don't know. Insofar as your thoughts, you've gotten good feedback here. It won't work. You need to allow for regular movement and various breaks. The plan can easily be modified, however, so that it would work -- you just need to give some thought to the realities of human bodies.

Many thanks

Princess Sally

being still that long can lead to blood clots-especially if hips and knees are bent and holding their heads up in a all 4's position is going to cause major pain for days possible injury. Any position will require breaks. Flat on the back is about the only position.

Perhaps as a "tablecloth," supine footrest, etc. Can be laid across a buffet table to hold foods.

hmmm your confident are you mrbukani

fucktoyprincess -> RE: objectification (3/20/2012 5:03:44 PM)

FR
Objectification is not limited to using human beings as furniture, although that would be one fetish that does fall under the broad category of objectification.

With that said, is it not obvious that holding a position for upto 8 hours is likely an impossibility for anyone? Not to mention all of the risks involved with staying immobile for that length of time? Does one really need to come to a forum like this to confirm this? Does one need any BDSM experience to know this about the human body?

People asking you to test this out for yourself are actually asking you to do something that is often standard practice as a Dominant/Top. i.e., if you want to see how painful nipple clamps are, try them out on yourself first. It is an excellent way to determine how much pain you are meting out to someone. In the same way, if YOU are able to hold the same position for 8 hours, then it might be more reasonable to ask someone else to do that. Reading this thread, I see nothing but good advice until the OP decided to object to the advice being given. And as the OP admits to having no experience with this, I am confused as to why the OP feels that no one is giving her good advice. Curious, that.

CaptJosh -> RE: objectification (3/20/2012 5:22:07 PM)

Hell, on Mythbusters, for the Diehard toilet bomb myth, they were told to under no circumstances replicate the amount of time that Riggs' partner supposedly sat on the toilet to keep the bomb from going off. The human body is not meant to sit, stand, kneel, lie, etc. in the same position for that length of time. Even when supposedly sitting at a desk all day long, one shifts in one's chair, gets up to pace, etc.

Maybe not in the movies or for some experiment etc but, I dunno, to keep an actual living/breathing bomb from shredding you arse first then I reckon probably all of us could go that extra yard - or ten....

Sounds like a Lethal Weapon movie, btw.

But yeah, human furniture is human, first. You need breaks and you need variety.

Focus.

CaptJosh -> RE: objectification (3/21/2012 2:29:50 PM)

Sorry, you're right. I typed the wrong movie title. However, as you've just agreed, the physiological concerns remain. Yes, Riggs' partner, played as I recall by Danny Glover, would have been alive, probably, come morning. No, he would not have been able to help jump into the tub as his legs would have been completely useless, and might never have recovered from the compression of sitting that way for that long a time period. Neuropathy at the least, if not actual tissue necrosis, would have been a factor.

So, like Focus here just said, the first word in the term human furniture is HUMAN. Breaks and variety are required. Subs and slaves are still people, folks. And Dominants should remember to take care of them, particularly if they won't take care of themselves. Even in a contractual Dom/sub involvement, the Dom should still be looking out to make sure the sub can still continue the contract.

I suggest you recruit yogis/yoginis in their 20s, preferably practitioners of Ashtanga or other physically demanding discipline.

Still, 6-8 hours does not seem reasonable. Plenty of good suggestions regarding breaks were given previously.

kalikshama -> RE: objectification (3/22/2012 8:32:04 AM)

OP - our typical CM Princess is like this: http://www.collarchat.com/m_4021171/mpage_1/tm.htm

The snark you received was about your title, not your desire to learn about human furniture.
