ORIGINAL: Kaliko I was getting to know a man who forbade me to curse. I was able to go without. I did always feel a little stab of fear go through me when I did mess up. Sigh....I miss that feeling. It's weird ... I run through cycles. I cuss like a drunken sailor and then, I realize my old self-admonishment (It may be an old adage. I don't rightly know): "Cursing is the sign of a confused mind, trying to express itself". I would think that what I have noticed is fairly common to every one. When we type, we cuss less than we do, verbally. Why do you suppose that is? I believe it's because typing allows us the time to "pre-think" the next word and we have a greater opportunity to self-censor. I have always appreciated ladies that only swore at "appropriate times" and then, I like it good and filthy. I have never forbade anyone the use of certain words (MIchael the 1st amendment lover doing that?) but, I have, at times, suggested that certain words lose their (good, fun) meaning, when they are over-used. Admittedly, I have also encountered a few: "Get da fuck outta here! Yer freakin' me out wit dat shit!" Peace and comfort, Michael
