I still have great difficulty even typing out the F word, nevermind saying it.
In the right tone, even flower can sound filthy.

See, Poise, that's one of the words that I love for a lady to say with the right inflection and at the right time. It definitely carries weight.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

I try not to swear. I seem to only do it when I'm more than slightly irritated, and it is not limited to certain people

Oooh Dudes, I am one profane mutherfucker. I've tried to give it up. I try to fucking quit.
And the shit just continues.
Making things even more pathetic is that I don't cuss at work, and have a wide vocab and thus, have no need for profanity-I can express myself quite fucking eloquently when I so desire.
But still I fucking do.
Shit.

These fuckin' people that feel the need to use a cuss word, every other fuckin' word get on my fuckin' nerves!

The sons of bitches don't realize how fuckin' stupid they sound when they just fuckin' polly parrot someone else. It's the stupidest fuckin' thing on the planet. It's like they're walkin' around with someone else's fuckin' hand jammed up their disgusting little asshole.

The fuck-wits and asstards that can't seem to manage a fuckin' sentence without a swear word piss me the fuck off.

I have to get back to preaching the fuckin' truth over in P&R

I apologize. As you can tell from the difference in text color, I was channeling someone else for a few moments.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

My mother had a Japanese BFF from long, long ago that taught her to swear in her native tongue. Mama taught me a couple of these, but I don't fucking know how to spell them. Pity.

I've heard that swearing in moderation can actually be good for you, as it gives one a certain emotional release during a stressful moment. However, if one swears excessively, one becomes numb to it and won't get that emotional release from swearing.

The only time I cuss is when I'm angry or in pain and then it just comes out as a way for me to deal. Other than that though I've just never been one to cuss. It just always seemed crude to me.

Master may tell you he cusses a lot but I think he does much less than what he thinks.

I only cuss in mandarin. It really adds a little extra WTF to the people subjected to it.

Bukani,
I know what the translation is... being as I speak a the Spanish. Swear words are not about direct meaning. People who are "sons of bitches" are not actually little boy puppies. It is about intent thus my original comment about the "energy" difference. It is about the understanding of the meaning of the word, the ineffable quality. Perhaps I ought to start calling people who piss me off "puppies" since that is after all what a son of a bitch is.

I was actually wondering about the swearing in the show Firefly. I believe the insults were Mandarin. I wondered if they were swear words or no. (I don't actually know). I was watching Korean and the music was "I wanna be a millionaire so fucking bad." It was a show run whose parent company was FOX Network. I laughed out loud about it.

I wonder if spanish people share that sentiment.
But to give you an example I will give it in dutch to you, so you know its not all about energy difference.
Some things are the same some not.

Bitch = teef
Hijo de puta = hoerezoon
we do not say son of a bitch
puta de madre = je moeder is een hoer
we do say that.
slut=slet
cunt=kut
But you dont say cuntwhore really do you?
we do
kuthoer
we can put kut in front of everything and we do
asshole=aarshol
but you dont have klootzak
we dont use aarshol a lot, we say klootzak wich means ballsack
Like te word wife = wijf in dutch and demeaning
kutwijf is common here

And you want bad energy?
Well we swear with diseases.
The most harsh and common one is cancer
in dutch kanker
that sounds very harsh, I dont think you do that in english, dont know many languages who throw around diseases lol
Its a very bad thing
You can say kanker like damnit
kankerhoer
krijg de kanker= get cancer.

we say shit a lot too here
but the original is schijt here
you can put that in front of anything too like you say it too.
just like we kan put diseases in front of about anything.
typhus and tering are most common and less, negative cause those diseases are eridicated here

Sick eh?

So there is a lot you cant compare with the same energy.
Just saying.

Oh and by the way fuck comes from the dutch word fok
Wich means breeding animals
not that myth of fornicating under consent of the king.
English has lent about 22000 words from dutch.
its been researched.
Interesting to know how other languages swear and what they really mean by it.
We have a lotta jiddish words as well in dutch to swear. bout the same as in america,
like schlemiel, mesjogge etc.
I always chuckle when french start to swear.
