ORIGINAL: sunshinemiss Bukani, I know what the translation is... being as I speak a the Spanish. Swear words are not about direct meaning. People who are "sons of bitches" are not actually little boy puppies. It is about intent thus my original comment about the "energy" difference. It is about the understanding of the meaning of the word, the ineffable quality. Perhaps I ought to start calling people who piss me off "puppies" since that is after all what a son of a bitch is. I wonder if spanish people share that sentiment. But to give you an example I will give it in dutch to you, so you know its not all about energy difference. Some things are the same some not. Bitch = teef Hijo de puta = hoerezoon we do not say son of a bitch puta de madre = je moeder is een hoer we do say that. slut=slet cunt=kut But you dont say cuntwhore really do you? we do kuthoer we can put kut in front of everything and we do asshole=aarshol but you dont have klootzak we dont use aarshol a lot, we say klootzak wich means ballsack Like te word wife = wijf in dutch and demeaning kutwijf is common here And you want bad energy? Well we swear with diseases. The most harsh and common one is cancer in dutch kanker that sounds very harsh, I dont think you do that in english, dont know many languages who throw around diseases lol Its a very bad thing You can say kanker like damnit kankerhoer krijg de kanker= get cancer. we say shit a lot too here but the original is schijt here you can put that in front of anything too like you say it too. just like we kan put diseases in front of about anything. typhus and tering are most common and less, negative cause those diseases are eridicated here Sick eh?[:D] So there is a lot you cant compare with the same energy. Just saying. Oh and by the way fuck comes from the dutch word fok Wich means breeding animals not that myth of fornicating under consent of the king. English has lent about 22000 words from dutch. its been researched. Interesting to know how other languages swear and what they really mean by it. We have a lotta jiddish words as well in dutch to swear. bout the same as in america, like schlemiel, mesjogge etc. I always chuckle when french start to swear.
