Status: offline 		I am here to tell those that have been manipulated, blackmailed, abducted, stalked, or violated in any way by an online predator that there is help for you. I was stalked and then violated by a person I met on the internet and I know it has happened to others.
A lot of adult victims of internet predators go without much needed help and support because of the embarrassing ties to the BDSM or adult world with which their experience started. Well I have started an online community for those of us that have experienced this horror. These violations are in no way your fault, and that is one of the issues we deal with. Online predators are master manipulators and if you are a victim of one you can get your life back. There will be no judging of you, only support.

These are EXCELLENT sources. Thank you proudsub. I would like to point out though, these sites are mainly informative and I did not see any type of support forum or group. If you are looking for emotional support as well as informational support, please join our group by contacting me for the link.

Status: offline 		Is this intended purely as a support gateway or also a means to publish some sort of blacklist? I know people that have been stalked and abused by online predators, and would never demean these people. I also know people that have been the victim of fraudulent accusations by spurned companions who tried to ruin their reputations by spreading accusations as far and wide as the net would allow them.

If the former is your goal, I applaud your efforts wholeheartedly.

This group is purely a support gateway! Nothing else. No information that could lead to anybody's identity will be allowed. I only want to discuss our stories (minus names), emotions, logistics, legal help, physical reactions and things of that sort. I do not want any identifying information disclosed for anybody. This group is purely anonymous in all ways.
That is a good question though. Thank you for that.

Thank you, I hope so as well. That is my mission. I am tired of feeling alone in this and not really having anybody to talk to about it. Not to sound all sugary and sappy, but I hope to reach out to others so none of us feel alone in this and this group will hopefully provide people to talk to who understand and won't judge.

I wish that I had known about these sites when I was going through my ordeal.

The name in itself raises the question. Online predators.
While, I am no newbie to have a predator. Even in real life. The idea of an online predator doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Anyone who has been stalked online knows the predator will just change his or her name to stalk you some more.

So, is this merely a support group for victims? Yet, not using anyone's name? Or using the name they use online?

If you use their name online or use their real name you are then outing them. You could very possibly end up in a slander suit down the line. Since you are posting your link in absolutely every single reply you post. Chances are many attorneys, judges and the like will be on your group without you ever knowing so.


I guess to summarize the biggest question I have is...are you using names?

When I say anybody, I mean anybody. That includes alleged predators. This is merely for emotional support. ALL are welcome. That means everybody. Attorneys, judges, and the like are welcome as long as they are supportive. And hey, they may even be able to provide advice for some victims who are still going through their ordeal. I say explicitly in my group description and my welcome message that anything that could give away anybody's identity will not be tolerated in the group. It is an anonymous group.

I hope that answers any and all suspicions about any type of ulterior motives. I am merely looking for support from others and hoping to provide support for others. It is not a fun ordeal to go through and can be downright terrifying. Some, as in my case, may even lead into real life violation and abuse. There are feelings and emotions that may be ignored because of the nature of the contact, i.e. BDSM or Adult type origins of meeting. People can choose to not deal with their feelings because they are too embarrassed about meeting in a BDSM or Adult chatroom or personals site, etc. My group is a safe haven for these people and hopefully can give them the support they need to build strength and get on with their lives. I hope that these intentions are now clear.

What is “online harassment”? You go to chat room and king jerkface is there, block him. If tells others lies about you, so? Did you really want a relationship with idiots who take jerkface’s word with actually seeing you? Does he send a couple e-mails you can’t delete?

Before PC morons accuse me of being heartless, read the above. The key word is “online”. If the jerkface sets up a FTF (face to face) meeting and the abuse starts then it is no longer “online”.

I might be in that "PC moron" category, but I don't consider you heartless. But you definitely ask a good question and I thank you for bringing it up.

Nobody ever said that the key word is "online". The key words of the group are "predator victim". If you met the guy online and it turns physical, that is still an online predator. Predators are predators no matter if it stays online or turns physical. And we certainly wouldn't turn anybody down that has been stalked/violated/raped by a person that had nothing to do with computers. But there are a growing number of people who's lives have been affected by meeting people online. This is why I started this group and called it the Online Predator Victim Support Group.

I really think that you are downplaying online harrassment. It isn't just about a person harrassing you by sending e-mails or IM messages. They can hack into your computer and find out information about you and post it on the internet. They can go into chat rooms that you visit regularly, pretend to be you under a different name and alienate you from everybody there. They can find out your friend's e-mails, your boss' e-mail, and send them e-mails with incriminating lies about you. There are a lot of things that online predators/cyberstalkers can do that you can't just click an ignore button or hit the delete button to make it go away.

She is a simple hairdresser and one day some guy comes into her shop and says that he saw her picture on the internet advertising sex for sale with her shop address listed and everything!! Come to find out it was some young HNG who picked her randomly to target and posted her picture. It is so scary like identity theft. What happened to the days when kids just make crank calls?
