...Is Mr. Zimmerman mentally and/or emotionally stable to own and operate a firearm? If not, why was he allowed such easy access to said firearm?

Would a *reasonable and prudent person* promote themselves as "Captain of the Neighborhood Watch", when there is no legitimate neighborhood watch, and their own actions disqualify them from the protections of a legitimate Neighborhood Watch member?

Neighborhood Watch: NOT ARMED, NO PURSUIT
George Zimmerman: ARMED PURSUIT.

Sounds kinda unstable. One of the cop fetishists, you know.... Cruising craigslist for M4COP....

Even though the facts show otherwise, there's all these people on the internet saying that Trayvon Martin, an innocent kid walking home from the candy store, attacked George Zimmerman as Zimmerman was getting out of his car to check the street sign.

Can the people who believe this fairy-tale explain to me WHY Trayvon Martin would attack George Zimmerman at his SUV, and if this attack happened, why did Zimmerman murder Trayvon Martin a distance away in someone's back yard -- not at the vehicle where the attack occurred?

I cannot reconcile this claim with the facts on the record.

I'm not aware of any facts except those known, the boy is dead, the neighborhood watch guy was injured but not arrested then and still has not been. There are multiple witnesses who say the watch guy was struck by the boy at least twice. The picture shown of this boy on the newscasts is of him at twelve and not at seventeen. He has gotten bigger since then. The police chief excused himself from the case. The Feds are investigating. Obama thinks the boy would be a great son he never had. After Obama said that, it became known the boy was busted and suspended from school for having pot by school authorities. These are the only facts known that are relevant.

Actually that was not what Obama said, and it was pot residue, not pot.  Facts, Arturas

I quote: "If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon’. I think the only difference in his statement and my post is semantics. The meaning is the same.

You are correct, it was pot residue as in a bag that did have pot in it and it was consumed except for a residue. Please explain why this makes a difference? Does this mean he never had pot but only carried a bag with residue around?

I think the phrase "grasping at straws" fits the latest posts I've seen on here today and the taking points of MSNBC when they realized late yesterday that this might actually be a mob lynching of an innocent man and OOPs they found themselves somehow trying to justify leading the mob.

My apologies for what was a duplicated post.

Iamsemisweet -> RE: Explain Trayvon Martin's MOTIVE in the fantasy attack on Zimmerman', if that's what happened... (3/27/2012 11:02:42 AM)

I have hardly taken a "mob lynching" approach on this case.  I have said all along that I hope the delay has to do with putting together a case that can be prosecuted successfully, or deciding that such a case does not exist.

Details matter in law, Arturas.  You can call it semantics, but they do.  If you don't understand that, what remains to be said?

I hope I am wrong but.. I am afraid that the cops have blown this case.. that they didnt follow procedure and didnt collect evidence they should have collected and so what they do have may not give more insight into what happened. They apparently didnt even send a homicide cop to the scene, they sent a drug cop.. Which also means.. how many other cases do they bungle? [8|]

This whole case has given me a very different view of Florida now also.. and makes Texas look tame..

It isn't purely a matter of semantics, you said this:
quote:

Obama thinks the boy would be a great son he never had.

If you can get that from the statement teh kenyan actually came out with, you either have a much more advanced grasp of semantics than I do, or are talking out of your behind. As I have a black belt in postmodernism, I suspect the latter.

Again, I have to ask you the same question.  Why is the fact that there was pot residue in the bag make a difference at all?  Is there some special law in Florida that allows stoners to be shot on sight?

I'm wondering how much Zimmerman's dad being a retired judge had to do with them 'blowing the case'. Had they followed their SOP, we wouldn't be having this problem.

But of course, the dead hoody was found in possession of pot residue, so who gives a fuck about that?

What are you, from 1953 or something?

In case no-one told you, pot is a non-issue. DOCTORS PRESCRIBE IT these days!

Where are you getting that from ?

several sources.. the cover-up the officer was involved in was over the son of a local police lieutenant and the grandson of a former Florida judge.. notice a pattern with this officer? [8|]

"Report: Lead officer at scene of Martin incident had several complaints, was involved in controversial 2010 case.
A few days ago, WFTV in Orlando reported that Anthony Raimondo, the first officer in charge of the scene the night Trayvon Martin was killed, had three validated complaints during his career and another pending complaint.
He was also involved in another local controversy two years ago. In 2010, Justin Collison, the son of a local police officer, sucker punched a homeless man and broke his nose. Raimondo declined to arrest Collison, and no charges were pressed until WFTV picked up the YouTube video of the incident. Collison, who is white, is the son of a local police lieutenant and the grandson of a former Florida judge. Collison was later ordered to pay the man's medical bills and to donate money to several nonprofit groups."

"Currently, "Raimondo has three validated complaints and another one pending," WFTV reported on March 16, 2012."
