You guys can it off as nothing but it makes me wonder what sorts of things he has said to North Korea or Iran and others. Oh don't worry we'll go easy on ya with negotiations after I get elected again but in the mean time I don't want to piss off the American people and undermine the country from a position of weakness because it could undermine my reelection prospects.

So let me make sure I have this straight. Now I can see where he is going to operate on the assumption that he will be re-elected. The power of positive thinking, and all that, but does he actually believe he is going to deliberately rip this country in two with a scorched earth, fear and loathing campaign, and find it easier to get things done in the aftermath? Really?
