Status: offline 		do you want the fan in the window facing blowing out the window, or blowing into the room? What about the fan in the door? I have always heard you need a fan int he window and a fan in the door.

If not, both should go out.

Status: offline 		Housefan through the attic with windows open in front and back. IF you can afford one. Sucks the air right through the house WHOOSH! Otherwise I usually just put the cyclone fan on a chair at the back door blowing into the house and leave the front windows open a little bit for the *old* air to move out. Works quite well, damn thing is kind of loud though so I can only stand it for so long.
Can't wait until I can afford to get one myself. I have the perfect house for a crossbreeze BUT I have 2 retarded dogs and 2 cats (one retarded and 1 an escape artist) and I live on an extremely busy street so leaving the front door wide open is out of the question. Not that I want to deal with the traffic noises anyway.....too often I can be sitting here trying to work and some asshat decided to roll down my street with his windows wide open and his bass (base?...wtf ever) set to HIGH and rattle the crap out of my front windows. Makes me want to invest in remote controlled landmines.

Status: offline 		If you want to move the stale air...face the fan outwards. It also works in the summer to cool down the house during the day, pulling the warm air out.

Have dealt with several old houses with no a/c and humid summers... as well as older apartments now, or not wanting to spend the money to run the A/c (AZ...).
