Which one?

The one adopted in 1787.

You mean the Constitution that existed before the Bill of Rights (Amendments 1 through 10, commonly referred to as "The Bill Of Rights", were not part of the U.S. Constitution until they were ratified in December 1791)?

No freedom of speech? No freedom of the press? No private ownership of firearms? No freedom from self-incrimination? No cruel and unusual punishments?

You don't like having those freedoms written into the U.S. Constitution?

Wow - you really are a "STRICT CONSTRUCTIONIST"!

I think the idea of local control is a joke, is my point. And I am not saying the Feds should be the last one standing. The first level I would eliminate though would be either county or city. We don't need both. I tend to believe some states are going to consolidate too, as their situations become more desperate.

Which county? You are up in my old stomping grounds, I think.

Aside from the interest in a little hometown gossip, though, what's your point? Do you think party bullshit and infighting somehow will magically disappear if we put local issues into giant consent agendas for the feds to play with?

Uhm... no... I mean the one adopted in 1787 and includes a process for amending.
