I've confused my overlong fantasy epics, Aswad: I was thinking of A Game Of Thrones, where there's a lot of that creepy "old enough to bleed, old enough to butcher" thing going on.

Ah, right. That's one I've left at watching the adaptation of, for now.

It's probably going to be read at some point, though.

For the moment, I am waiting for A Memory of Light, the final book of the final volume in the Wheel of Time. I'm planning on timing my next reread of the series so that I'll be done with the preceding books just as that one hits the shelves. Don't want to do another incomplete reread of the series. Rereading is good in itself, as I always discover new layers in the series, but I dislike having to wait for the next book, only to find that I need to refresh with another reread in order to actually remember all the story arcs.

After all, he's pretty much following "every" interesting person in all nations and groups in that setting throughout the defining years of the transition from one Age to the next. Going from my memory, there's a phrase along the lines of "for the land is one with the Dragon, and he is one with the land." Which is pretty accurate: the outcome of the Last Battle isn't decided by swords and sorcery, it's decided by how humanity as a whole is transformed by the events that his life is consubstantiate with.

In that sense, the Dragon Reborn is the avatar of humanity, not its champion per se.

And tracking humanity in instalments is beyond me. [:D]

I've reread it about seven times so far, for ca. 20~25 million words... I'm such a geek. [8|]

Health,
al-Aswad.

Well you know, it's been mentioned before, but regardless of what dead Jews have to say, and much of it is worth pondering, this one comes down to taking advice on what holes to stick your penetrative organs into to achieve the desired result, from some ancient crabby old virgin ex-nazi, surrounded by and protecting pedophiles, who learned everything he knows from books written by other crabby old virgins and pedophiles?

To me it's a no brainer - they are not doing it right - I may not always know what the right way is, but that ain't it.

I mean c'mon, you find some holes, and you poke around till something works, it's not rocket science, it ain't a thing you can study from a distance, at some point, you just gotta get in there and dig around, get your hands dirty.

If god didn't want me lusting after some gorgeous little things curvaceous, undulating, little hiney, and plump, luscious lips, he shouldn't have made it symmetry in motion, he shouldn't have made it all so Mmm, mmm, mmm.

If that's wrong, I don't want to be right.

How in the hell does something like this even get started?

Control of a frustrated soul creates a soldier who dont ask questions.

You know while we're talking about being opposed to things on the grounds that they are unnatural. I've spotted one, the lifestyle described above truly is unnatural.

It seems like a no brainer to me - if this is what they think the bible says, I think they're reading it wrong.

"Be Fruitful and multiply."
A rabbi is required to follow all gods laws and covenants. Therefore, a rabbi is supposed to get married and have kids.
Assuming churches want to follow the bible, their priests need to do the same...
Side note, for Jesus to have his religious teachings/views respected, he would have had to do the same...

ETA: a 33 year old unmarried Jewish man is assumed to be not interested in women, therefore interested in men... just sayin...

There are a few passages that are sometimes taken to be homosexual references. But the other side of the argument is that Jesus was married and the Bible just doesn't bother mentioning that on account of women having very little worth.
