I've developed a kind of "sixth sense", lately and I foresee five or six more "I want the right to commit infanticide at will because I failed to plan properly *before* having sex but I'm going to call it 'Family Planning' to mislead people" threads. Some people get something in their teeth, realize that their argument is convincing no one, try to strawman the people that are refuting them, fail at that and start a new thread to change the discussion. Even though I was dirt poor when I had my first, I opted against abortion. I could never do it. But I don't want to infringe on another woman's right to not become a mother because her birth control failed. After I had my second child, my cousin tried to talk me into being a surrogate because she can't get pregnant. I couldn't do that either. I thought a lot about it. Thought about the accusations that I was "denying" the chance to have what I had--her body denied her that chance, not me. I just couldn't see myself going through a pregnancy, hours of pain to bring a new life into the world and then just giving the baby to somebody else, even if it is my cousin, and not really my own biological child. There are women who have no difficulty at all being an incubator in such way and it is their right to do so.

Peace and comfort, Michael But of course, non-reproductive forms of sex, including birth control. same sex, even masturbation is just as bad, and "infanticide" is a strawman for co-opting an individuals right to control their own reproductive organs - seems like some people prefer to talk out of both side of their mouth.

i.e., taken with all the qualification, it sounds a lot like a forced breeding scheme, which seems like something worthy of rational debate, rather than hysterical breastbeating. Bombing babies with Depleted uranium munitions is infanticide, if anybody is Moloch here, it's you. Happy Easter.

I absolutely agree that it is a method of "damage control" that is legal and available but in my book, if one *plans* abortion, in advance (Prior to pregnancy), they're hardly more than a cold-blooded murderer. I will say it, again as I said on another thread (and received a friendly "warning" from one of my favorite LLLs): "I am *for* Family Planning" I *fully* support Family Planning. Peace and comfort, Michael As I said before, I have provided financial planning to someone who screwed up his finances, I don't see how after-a-goof family planning is any less planning. Or can you not use financial planning if you crash your car without insurance to get out of the financial hole you created by your goof? Actually, how about a different tack. Until the baby is born, you are still planning whether to carry it to term, or not, and whether to raise it yourself of give it up for adoption. Until that point, you are planning! Does that work for you? So I can use family planning to avoid getting a girl pregnant, or to help her deal with the situation after she gets pregnant, as long as the planning happens before birth, when we end up creating a family.

Well, excepting that at 8 weeks from conception, it's 1/2" long, doesn't have a brain as we know it, and is just crossing over from embryo to fetus. (open sarcasm tag) But aside from that.
