ORIGINAL: MistressOfGa They may say "If you can't master your own emotions, how are you to master me?" Hello A/all, I make this comment, although the approach I use is. "Why do you consider yourself "Dominant" when you cannot even control yourself?" A person who gets upset and goes and cries and grieves in the other room until they recover and feel better and then move on and does other things is dealing with their emotions in a positive manner. A person who beats their submissive half dead, kicks their pet, climbs into a clock tower and shoots college students, etc, because they are upset is not dealing with their emotions in a positive manner. But then, I do not believe that "mastery of emotions" is a person who doesnt have any. I believe that mastery of emotions is found in the mental state where a person accepts they have emotions, deals with them, but does not allow them to control their actions. As Peyton Quinn once wrote "Either you are in control of yourself, or somebody else is." (Bouncers Guide To Barroom Brawling) Just me, usual caveats, etc. Sinergy
