ORIGINAL: Owner59 http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/story/2012-04-12/ann-romney-hilary-rosen-work/54235706/1 Hilary Rosen says Ann Romney never worked 'day in her life' While I don`t agree Ann Romney had very tough choices to make, she did make her`s and that, should be respected. While I consider myself a feminist, this is a step to far.....and not what feminism is about. Ms. Rosen should be spanked and apologize and all democrats should reject her dig as unwelcome and untrue. "Wednesday night on CNN, Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen said Romney, who raised five now-grown sons, had "never worked a day in her life." Mitt Romney had said earlier that his wife had relayed to him the economic concerns of women around the country. Rosen's comment reignited a mom-culture war that dates back to Hillary Rodham Clinton's 1992 remark that instead of working as a lawyer, she "could have stayed home and baked cookies." It convulsed the political Twitterverse — both Rosen and Ann Romney were trending topics on the social-networking site — and cable television networks" Geeeeeez.... She OBVIOUSLY (and I DO MEAN OBVIOUSLY) meant that Ann Romney never was forced (due to her financial situation) to sacrifice time away from her children in order to work outside the home. She was simply inarticulate amidst her outrage against Ann Romney. Ms. Rosen may indeed need to be spanked, but not for this. There is 0% chance that she meant to imply being a stay at home mom is not work. This is a non-story hyped by the Republicans desperately trying recover the support of women.
