This is only a personal opinion. Love to me doesn't seem to be what I get or what I offer, let alone what I have to offer. That includes intimacy and puppy dog eyes.

Instead, it seems to me a measure of the distance I hope to perceive between that person and their fulfillment, whether or not it is within me to provide that fulfillment. I want my family to know peace, my friends to be happy...and the one that I love, I wish to be complete. If I cannot complete her and she finds completion still, I can be happy for her, and still love her.

Following from that, I don't believe gravity affects love. If we fall or we slingshot around the globe (do ex-partners have their own gravity? - some seem to) I believe that is in the realm of physics, not higher reasoning. As base and lurid as love (yes, love, not lust) may seem, is can be as lofty as the moon. I would instead propose that we discover love like a lost treasure in a box pulled down from a shelf - something we knew was there but never bothered to reach out for.

All right, enough sensitivity, lest I inspire mnottertail to shake off the cobwebs and trundle by.

Is that all there is to it? What do you think? Does your experience support this claim? And, if it's this easy in theory, why is it so difficult in real life?

I did this once.

At the end of the session, the bitch asked me to pay for her parking tab.

I said no.

She called her attorney and asked for a divorce.

I explained to her "we actually have to have been married to do a divorce".
