ORIGINAL: FrostedFlake ON-SET FIREARMS DEATHS http://propguys.com/gundanger/ Point : That it is a blank does not mean you can consider the weapon harmless. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mock_execution Point : Manuael Ernest Dillow has been charged with firing blank rounds at 12 Virginia students. If there is still any misunderstanding, consider. If I were to walk up to you out of the blue, point my gun at you, pull the trigger and you heard, "Click!"... ...how would you feel about that? Would a "BANG!" make things better or worse? And if you were to respond by using a weapon you happened to have on your person, would I or anyone have any cause for complaint? thanks for posting that link. they were all about casings (or shotgun wads) being expelled, or having real live rounds in the chamber. true, i didn't know blanks could expel wads or casings. and i enjoyed your analysis. but no one ever said they couldn't be dangerous. the sound and air being expelled is quite dangerous. and anyone who's ever shot knows expelled casings hurt, and can take out an eye (take it from a lefty who's had to shoot right-handed guns) this all started cus someone didn't understand the meaning of the words they read (blanks, starter pistol, Etc.), then said that could take someone's eye out. but blanks don't shoot anything, so saying that was about as relevant as saying throwing the gun at them at them could take out an eye. and thus, this kinda dumb side-track.
