Explain how Rush'e treatment of the Lords army as christian freedom fighters and his suggustion of anti christian bias by Obama and a pro muslim stance wasnt reaffrming prejuduces and bias and exactly what part was true? It was a slime job on Obama meant to slander him unconnected to a dsingle fact of the issue at hand

There's not much I could add to what Kirata says other than to state that these sleazy boycotts, though legal, are a desperate attempt to to silence those who they, the left, can't compete with in any other way within the arena of ideas and political philosophy. The boycotters should keep in mind that boycotting is a double edge sword.

The boycotts are a true grass roots effort. No corporate sponsorship... just private citizens having their voices heard.

Absolutely nothing any other group can not engage in themselves... and have.

Some ABC affiliates initially canceled ''Politically Incorrect'' and later put it back on the air, although not the station in Washington, where the White House press secretary, Ari Fleischer, warned on Wednesday that ''people have to watch what they say and watch what they do.'' (The White House later dropped the first half of that warning.)

Anyone recall this?

Time to Boycott “Old Navy” stores…..
By We The People on June 8th, 2011 at 12:23 pm
Posted In: Casual Conversation
“A nationally prominent retail store has announced it will sell “gay pride” T-shirts in support of presidentially proclaimed ”Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month.”
Old Navy will sell rainbow-styled T-shirts as part of the its “Love Proudly: Pride 2011″ campaign. The shirts reportedly went on sale June 1 and will be available at select stores throughout the country. Old Navy announced it will donate 10 percent of the proceeds to the “It Gets Better Project,” a pro-LGBT campaign.
Gary Cass of DefendChristians.org says Old Navy is promoting a lifestyle that is in “complete rebellion against God.”

Boycotts and petitions go on all the time, for various reasons by various groups.

Yes but no one has gone after any of the libs in the main stream media yet or called up the advertisers who pulled out of Rush's show to tell them they wouldn't buy their products for doing that. This is what I mean by a double edge sword.

Limbautgh called a college kid a slut and a whore for mthree days. Tell me which msm oersonailty would of kept there job after that? Peopel forget thsi wasnt political speech it was the polirtics of unsubstabntiated character assasinatin. Well actually, the "college kid" finished college nine years ago. Fluke is a 30 year old woman attending Georgetown's graduate school of law, a school she chose with the intention of making an issue over their policy.

Ed Schultz, though in all fairness I think he only called Laura Ingraham a "slut" twice.

One thing to keep in mind about these leftists.... They like free speech as long as is their own party line. You will not silence any of us. What a joy November will be! And remember to stop flukes from breeding! Support her $3thousand a year contraceptive bill! Silly socialists.

floridamaster -> RE: Angie's list (4/24/2012 8:21:53 PM)

What is the cost for a kid on welfare .Could you explain why the frc doing dozens of boycotts against those whose view it opposes is different than this? I assume you think Obama created the defict. Paul Ryan has a real reduction plan, the real problem is the damn welfare and outr aid to foriegn countries? Of course you have no clue why she was called to testify originally because you get your information from Propaganda mouth pieces. that's myexperience with the poutish right. loud, factless, feckless and uninformed http://www.forbes.com/sites/kenrapoza/2011/11/21/fox-news-viewers-uninformed-npr-listeners-not-poll-suggests/ Faux fake news you can't count on

Do you ever fucking read anything about a subject before you start calling people's posts bullshit? I mean, this isn't the first time yanno.

Fluke came to Georgetown University interested in contraceptive coverage: She researched the Jesuit college’s health plans for students before enrolling, and found that birth control was not included. “I decided I was absolutely not willing to compromise the quality of my education in exchange for my health care,” says Fluke, who has spent the past three years lobbying the administration to change its policy on the issue. ~Washington Post

Fluke is, in fact, a past President of the Georgetown chapter of Law Students for Reproductive Justice. The impression that she was herself an unwitting victim of Georgetown’s policy on contraceptives, and thus qualified to speak to what such women endure, was false. She was an activist from the start.

Why does it not surprise me that you cannot clarify your own post.

I'm not really referring to anyone in particular. It could be some one from one of the major networks or some one like Chris Mathews from PMSNBC. I just can't think of any one equivalent to Rush. Just an example to say that the right could start boycotting those in the liberal media who they think might be offensive to them. Double edge sword payback sort of thing.

I cant either but really I dont know many people in or out of the media that would be comfortable telling millions a woman was a whore and a slut for half a week. i also think no one would of tolerrated the third use of slut on any network the first, thebnshock thebn the hook. being boycotted for degrading a woman at great lengths for great length isnt an attack on poitical speech it's a demand for common decency and decorum

I confused you with the loony right who said she was a plant, put there to use against the school and create a fake issue where none existed.....basically making her an insincere operative with no credibility or standing.....a liar and cheat.

Is that what you didn`t mean?

Well it's not what I said, so there must be a problem here. Why don't you get a mirror and look for it?

Actually it appears she is a law student who chose the best school rather than the one with policies she liked better. If there is something wrong with this young woman then working to get her university to change its policy I'm not seeing it.

If Rush didn't think that Nathalie Whatever had a right to free speech, why is his own an issue?

Well I think it has been pretty well established that he's a hypocrite.

Some people suffer from the Levitical notion that whatever another guy has done to someone it's okay to do to him.

Can't speak for anybody else, but it's more blatant double standards I have an issue with.
Like claiming that a broadcaster who's perfectly happy to deny other people their freedom of speech is being picked on when any attempt is made to do the same thing to him.

I personally never participate in these stupid boycotts. If kraft cheese is on sale and I have a coupon I'm likely going to buy it. I'm not aware how effective these boycotts were or if they even happened to any great extent. In fact I have never even heard of them until now except for the HBO thing. Thanks for pointing it out. Maybe if we all keep it up we can run everybody out of the advertising business.

IMO Bill Maher is a thinks-he-knows-it-all condescending asshole. He's not that funny. At least John Stewart is funny.
