SoulAlloy -> Do Your Fetishes Get in the Way? (4/25/2012 3:32:02 PM)

A random question but one that's been bobbing in my head for a while now, looking for the inspiration to phrase it right... The inspiration hasn't come but it's still bugging me

When meeting people do you ever find your fetishes are just too damn distracting? Say for example boots... You aim to be dashing and debonair, but bloody hell those boots look gorgeous... I have a female friend too who has a similar problem with long hair...

Less of a problem in messages on cm, though those ads are a bit distracting sometimes lol

Sometimes I think life would be so much simpler without them, though not half as much fun :p

So do you find yourselves inadvertently overcome by them? Do you train yourselves to ignore them or remain the stuttering wreck or appear to be a bit of a lech?

I have that problem with boobs. (It's funny, but I'm not joking. I can't help but notice boobs even when I try not to.)

Hell no, my fetishes don't get in the way. They lead me around... creating an amazing and passionate life. Ah the wonders of the spin!

Either youre compatible or not - If someone lists scat as their fetish, IM O-U-T.

Im not indulging in something that Im not into and whats the point of a discussion or how does that become distracting?

Example - Ive had guys go ON and ON and ON about anal sex - and Im like: big fucking whoop - what the hell is there to talk about? YES - I know what anal sex is - and your point is? But of course they want to go into details > which translates to > I want to have an online wank session - Where its like - why dont you just say that in the fucking first place?

Or they will say: are you into stockings? My answer is: NO. Pretty cut and dry.

Karmastic -> RE: Do Your Fetishes Get in the Way? (4/25/2012 4:09:35 PM)

i don't think i let my fetishes get in the way. i'm not a boob man, and it's easy for me not to stare (staring is rude). i guess it would be hard for my fetish to get in the way, since i'm a butt man. i also usually have no problems ignoring any strong attraction if if i'm not thinking of hitting on her - if i am, all bets are off.

poise -> RE: Do Your Fetishes Get in the Way? (4/25/2012 4:11:42 PM)

My fetish is the total man, regardless of the extent of his wardrobe. (or lack of)

What happens when you come across someone wearing an amazing pair of boots,
but clearly that's the only thing they have going for them? Would you give them more
attention than normal simply because of the boots?
Is that what you mean by letting your fetish get in the way?

Karmastic -> RE: Do Your Fetishes Get in the Way? (4/25/2012 4:18:35 PM)

my sources say that what shoes a man wears seems to be very important to some women.

sunshinemiss -> RE: Do Your Fetishes Get in the Way? (4/25/2012 4:21:56 PM)

Shoes tell a lot about a man. I've always been fascinated though of people dating - the men in casual clothes, sneakers, etc. The woman wears some frou frou or slinky outfit with high heels. He's comfy, she's in pain. He's relaxed, she's watching every word.

Apropos to pretty much nothing... I just wanted to write "aproppos to nothing". Have a good day! I'd best get my fool self to work! Worlds to conquer and all that!

Karmastic -> RE: Do Your Fetishes Get in the Way? (4/25/2012 4:32:46 PM)

yeah, liked your description anyway. some savvy woman should charge for a course on what shoes to wear to attract women.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Do Your Fetishes Get in the Way? (4/25/2012 4:46:51 PM)

Its true I do look at a man's shoes, but more to see what his fashion esthetic is.

I dont think my fetishes get in the way, they're more of an enhancement.

littlekitten1 -> RE: Do Your Fetishes Get in the Way? (4/25/2012 5:13:04 PM)

I don't think my fetishes have ever gotten in the way... now that I think about it.

For me it's also about how he takes care of what he has. That says a lot about the man... It's not the LONE thing I look at, but a man with well cared for boots that are well broken in and shined properly says a completely different thing than some beat up sneakers with broken shoe laces... see what I'm saying? By the way... what are you wearing? (SHOES!) I'm barefoot but about to put on a pair of cowboy boots and haul off to work. (Didn't I say that an hour ago? *sigh*)

Shoes and the watch.

I wouldn't say My fetishes get in the way, I think they help Me find and locate compatible potentials. For instance, I like boobs, ass and long hair. So, if I am seeking a female slave and I see she has what interests Me about her physically, then My fetishes have led Me to her. I think this was the topic? I don't know anymore. Lol

yeah yeah, i get it. you said it well, but me thinks it matters a bit too much to some women, or at least it comes off that way from the things i've heard and read.

ho ho, what am i wearing?

something i'm told no man should be caught wearing - i forget their name, but similar to below, but less fancy and in brown. oh, and the coup d'etat fashion violation - with white socks! i wear my sweat jammies around the house. and they are horribly stained with bleach.

When I meet someone I am interested in getting to know them as a person. Sure, I might enjoy their hair, or their attire, or whatever, but I am still in the conversation. But I should say that I don't have fetishes that live outside the dynamics of a relationship. By that I mean, I might become sexually excited by the sight of a woman wearing a particular shoe, but that's because of my feelings for the woman, not my feelings for the shoe. It may be a cliche, but what excites me is a woman's personality and outlook, so that always trumps attire.

SirLangsdorff -> RE: Do Your Fetishes Get in the Way? (4/25/2012 6:25:52 PM)

I don't pay enough attention to my fetishes when I go out. Men are pigs, I like pigs but not this kind!

littlewonder -> RE: Do Your Fetishes Get in the Way? (4/25/2012 7:12:58 PM)

No, never had this problem. Then again, I don't have fetishes.

Eyes. If a woman has pretty eyes, even if I am not interested in a relationship with her other than friends or casual I will find myself not able to resist paying a compliment. Clothing can be changed, facial and body features cannot. Funny thing is, her eyes aren't my "fetish" so to speak, I am just extremely attracted to pretty eyes. (not in a jeepers creepers kind of way you freaks so don't go there LOL) Even funnier is if I end up developing a relationship with a woman chances are her eyes won't even be in my view most of the time we play (go figure right?) When I talk to people, male or female though I tend to look them right in the eyes though so not only is that the first feature I notice, but it's the one I mostly focus on. I can stare at their other sexy body parts and attire when we are not engaged in conversation.

I kid you not...my moms gave me a pair of the shoes just like that in yellow. I kept slipping them on at her house. I swore I would never wear them but six months later they are completely worn and the scraps are popping off.

But dude socks with sandals are a serious fashion no no. I won't say nothing though because I wear socks with mine too.
