ORIGINAL: kalikshama Haha, I think the comments from that article nailed it. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2124246/Samantha-Brick-downsides-looking-pretty-Why-women-hate-beautiful.html#ixzz1tWrig8wQ While I appreciate you sharing the article, I don't think it nails it at all. It may actually show what I was getting at in My prior post. There's a major difference between the article and what the OP brought up in her original. From the tone of the article, the writer at least implies that she is a pleasant person until her looks seem to get in the way. Is that situation really a good comparison to the OP? So far, on this thread, only one responder has even hinted at an exchange being pleasant. The rest of the comments haven't exactly been favorable about the person. On this thread, as well as a few others, the negativity and nastiness have been pointed out time and time again. Here is where the perceptions, rather than the reality come into play. According to the OP's view, it doesn't have anything to do with the way she treats people who aren't willing to kiss her ass. To her, it just *has* to be because of jealousy of some sort, or even worse, that straight women secretly are after her pussy. I haven't figured out if she really believes the latter part or she says it just to make straight women wretch a bit. At some point, a person has to ask themselves if their perception is correct. Nope. There's an excuse for that, too. The fact that so many people have noted the negativity and the poor treatment of the interactions with others just *must* be heard mentality. Thoroughly convinced that it can't be anything other than her appearance, it's not even considered that it is because of terrible attitude, rudeness, or any of the other qualities that have been displayed. As the old theory goes, you can gift wrap shit in the prettiest paper that you can find. It doesn't change the fact that it really is shit that's inside the package or make it stink any less. I do have to wonder...... If the OP was so confident that the only reason that people react to her the way that they do is because she is just sooooo beautiful, since she is interested in human behavior, why did she not experiment with the way people would react to her without the physical appearance being involved? It would have been easy to choose an avatar that wasn't a picture of herself and use a cartoon instead. Yet, had she done that, and people still called her on the way she treats others, she could no longer rely on the 'jealousy because of beauty' angle. Then, she'd have to face owning her words, the terrible attitude, and all that goes with it.
