I can obviously only speak from my own limited (anal) experience having been with a woman who REALLY liked anal...a LOT...as well as women who didn’t, but still rubbed their clits.
I don't think whether a woman rubs her clit and/or lips has anything to do with whether they're doing anal or not! I.e., some women do that regardless of which fun hole is being serviced. And it can be her clit, lips, nipples, or whatever she likes rubbing or grabbing while she gets her groove on.
As a man, I myself will often reach around (or down) and rub her clit in unison and in complimentary motion to me penetrating her, either vaginally or anally. I'm a drummer/percussionist, so using all parts of my body rhythmically comes naturally.
