ORIGINAL: CollaredProperty Why is it that most Masters think that BDSM is about sex? You don't even have the sense to define what sex is. Are you defining it like Bill Clinton? Are you defining it like Janet Hardy? Are you defining it according the the Rocks and Shoals? Speaking purely for myself, as I generally endeavor to do, it IS about sex for me, both dom and sub, but that dosen't mean that it has anything to do with coitus, penetration, or even orgasm. The thrill I get is only equatable in my experience with sexual satisfaction, sexual fulfillment. I can keep the little master firmly tucked away in my jeans, and still walk around with a happy satisfied glow that lasts for days after a good scene. A lack of communication is frequently the undoing of people on the internet, especiallyu when dealing with the kinkier scenes. The fallacy of a monolithic BDSM culture that is somehow universal and uses an absolutely defined jargon had been the despair of a great many otherwise genuine and wonderful individuals, without all the confusion of having to find the rare prince among all those slimy, green HNGs sitting on their internet lilly pads. But, yes, in the BIG BOOK OF MEANINGS trapped in my head, it is all about sex. I just have a very broad definition of sex, compared to some I've spoken to.
