Cool thanks. I don't know why, but I just know I'm going to embarrass myself somehow and end up having a blush moment, so I may as well just resign myself to it. Cheers quote:

ORIGINAL: LadyHibiscus If they blow you off or are rude--and let me warn you in advance that some folks think black leather clothing makes them important--then you know not to waste any more time with that person. Thanks for the heads up. I might have been discouraged if the first dom I tried to speak to blew up at me or made me feel like I had crossed some very serious line. Knowing what you have said, I will take it in stride and not roll over for anyone (unless of course she is my dom) Just DO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT! Hey, I went to a BDSM workshop on impact tools, couldn't do much due to a pinched nerve in my back, just lifting my arm hurt like hell (and I'm not the one who should suffer) but the teachers twigged pretty fast that I wasn't new to it, my mistake for introducing myself just with my first name and no "scene name", so once we got that sorted they asked me to help out with posture and simple finger movements, love doing that stuff so I was quite happy... After a while I had to sit down and relax my back, one girl asked me if they scared me, I went "Why? Am I meant to be scared?" and she said "Vanillas often are" - round of hooting laughter, somebody clued her in, she was busy going "I'm so sorry Mistress, I am really sorry..." told her not to worry about as I found it very funny (and all my friends got such a big kick out of it), as a result we ended all up laughing a lot. Imagine if I would have been all uptight and "How dare you..." and all that shit? BDSM is meant to add to your life, give it some spice, not to take away from it or take over your life - a dominant who can't laugh or take a joke - it's a person you really don't want to deal with. After all this is meant to be enjoyable - even if it might hurt sometimes
