ORIGINAL: peachgirl I dunno...why is it when a man says he's 5'10" he's usually shorter than 5'7"? OKcupid, the vanilla dating site, did a study on this once. It found on average that people claim to be two inches taller than they are. Oddly, women are as likely to do this as men. People exaggerate their income by 20%. The more attractive the photo, the more likely it was to be out of date. A third of the hottest photos on the site were more than a year old. OK, I'm 1 meter and 65 cm (with no heels) and when I try to translate (I don't do maths, I use google) that into feet and inches I get everything from 5'4 to 5'6 - so I went for the middle 5'5 (I think that's fairly accurate)... A picture that's a year old is usually not that much out of date, unless they recently have developed a crack or fast food addiction, those fine lines around the eyes are cunningly hidden by a mask and I am open to suggestions of docs that do botox but won't overdo it. Weight wise, I think I lost about 2 clothes sizes since the pics were taken but gained about 10 lbs muscle mass. As for my income, I think it's on a need to know basis and frankly nobody but the tax, the bank for the mortgage, and my other half need to know...
