What I think is particularly odd is how they spelled "Time".

Hahahahahahahahaha... ya know between the "Attachment Parenting" cover and this one, I think the intense theme values just meld the names together with a lot of people.
Great line pointing that out though.

Did you see the Seth Meyer's weekend update monologue? It was the best machine gunned spate of one liners he's had in years.

My two favorites were in reference to the camoflage pants the kid was wearing and the line about photoshopping out the chair!

A bit of backstory: Newsweek's had a rough time lately. The Washington Post Company, its longtime owner, sold it a few years ago for a dollar. It later merged with the Daily Beast, and hype-wizard Tina Brown became the editor. She has a flair for provocative covers--anyone remember Demi Moore on Vanity Fair?--and I think this is another effort, apparently successful, to generate buzz.

Wacky notion: Anyone who wants to actually read the story to learn the reasoning behind its attention-grabbing headline can find it here.

History is being made ? He can't do a thing to make marriage legal for gays. Being called the first gay president is laughable. I'm glad Newsweek did it though.

You just dont get it do you.

Newsweeks headline has nothing to do with Obama actually being gay and all to do with him understanding equality.

You read the article first though right.....Id hate to think you just jumped in feet first and uninformed........ [/sarcasm]

I know he isn't gay and have not said so. He was forced to speed up his flip flop because his vice president once again put his foot in his mouth. But you never know, maybe Newsweek knows something we don't. That would be more funny than the halo photo.

How is he "the first gay president"?

Clinton was "the first black president." I think that it is the same logic.

I was going to say the same thing.

Don't worry. Everyone gets it was yet another gutterball in a long string of bad frames.
