Doesn't seem to be any visual component to the video, and athe audio is non existant.Other than that, I think it could work for some people.  But over all it is new age hype.

Ok maybe it's because it's the iPad link, perhaps you need an iPad to view the link am not so sure

It's stupid.   It's wtf?   Lower your expectations.   Drink heavily.

I used eft for anxiety and depression and it helped me in a huge way, better than any other therapy or medication. It's about getting to the core of the problem.

myotherself -> RE: Emotional freedom technique to get rid of unwanted fetishes (5/15/2012 9:19:21 AM)

Fortunately I want all my fetishes [:D]

NuevaVida -> RE: Emotional freedom technique to get rid of unwanted fetishes (5/15/2012 9:35:10 AM)

Can't see the video because I'm on CM with my phone. I don't know enough about EFT to form an informed opinion but what little I've read says it combines accupuncture points with modern psychology and apparently some folks feel they are getting good results in alleviating anxieties and fears. So hey if it works for some people and they like it, more power to 'em. But then I'm kind of a new-agey type myself, so there you go lol.

littlewonder -> RE: Emotional freedom technique to get rid of unwanted fetishes (5/15/2012 10:01:27 AM)

I'm extremely comfortable with my sexuality so it's of no use to me. I guess it would work for some people. Hell, for some people simply telling them not to do it works. There's something for everyone.

I love and want all my fetishes so not clicking on it... just in case LOL

I don't have the ability to watch the link.  I'm curious though between the above and the thread title.  What fetishes were you able to rid yourself of by using eft and if you have gotten rid of your fetishes, why are you on a BDSM site?

submaleuk12 -> RE: Emotional freedom technique to get rid of unwanted fetishes (5/15/2012 10:39:43 AM)

Hi,

I used to be into bdsm, with eft I was able to remove the adrenaline, which was what was attracting me to it and making me addicted to it, I found it toxic for me personally but I don't make any judgement of others, if people are happy with it then they should carry on doing it, it just wasn't working for me personally.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Emotional freedom technique to get rid of unwanted fetishes (5/15/2012 10:42:08 AM)

Which does not explain why you keep coming back here. To talk to people who enjoy bdsm and find it life enhancing.

submaleuk12 -> RE: Emotional freedom technique to get rid of unwanted fetishes (5/15/2012 10:43:39 AM)

I very rarely come on here, maybe there's a few people on here who feel similar to me so it may help them

littlewonder -> RE: Emotional freedom technique to get rid of unwanted fetishes (5/15/2012 10:46:31 AM)

why do you feel the need to help them? You remind me of some people I know who feel this need to save your soul lol.

submaleuk12 -> RE: Emotional freedom technique to get rid of unwanted fetishes (5/15/2012 10:48:39 AM)

I don't lol, I wouldn't force anything on anyone I remember a few years ago when I was really addicted to bdsm and it was affecting my life, I wish informtation like that had been available to me it would have helped me a lot.

BULLSHIT!!

You're here every week or 2 whining about how BDSM ruins people's lives. All someone has to do is go look at your posting history to know that.

If you don't like the lifestyle, don't visit the site. PERIOD.

Coming back every week or 2 and trying to 'save' people makes you look like a combination of a Jehova's Witness and a hopeless wanker.

If that's the case, wouldn't the logical thing be to close your profile and stop participating on a kink site?  According to your joining date, your current profile is less than a year old.  I would have to think that something that you feel is toxic for you would be the last place you would want to be as far as a website.
