I loooooove my coffee! LOVE my coffee! Peets Major Dickason, to be specific. Whole beans, ground, and yum. I drink 2-3 cups a day and I'm a happy happy camper.

For those mentioning a bitter taste, I've found (in addition to what Bita said) it's the coffee itself. The Mister calls me a "coffee snob" because I won't drink cheap coffee - the flavor is just too noticeable to me and I don't like it. But Peets is just yum to me - rich, smooth, delicious, and yummy.

When I was married, the (ex) husband didn't want me to drink coffee. He had all these reasons but it really was just about control. But I love my coffee. I discovered every Starbucks on my way to work and I'd change 'em up so when he called as I was driving to work (yes, he'd call even though I just left the house, as a way of seeing whether or not I had stopped for coffee), I could always answer the phone and he wouldn't know. (First Starbucks was 7 min from the house and that's when he'd call....2nd starbucks was 22 min from the house, and sometimes he'd call then, and so on). I'm not giving up my coffee! LOL

The Mister has no problem with me drinking coffee. He knows I love it and it doesn't cause any issues, so he sees no reason to remove it. He doesn't drink it (rare occasion) but let me put a coffee pot in his house so I can have coffee when I'm there.

I sometimes have an espresso at work (we have a cafe which serves Starbucks) in the afternoon, if I need a boost, but it's rare. A couple cups in the morning and I'm good to go.

I think some people have bad reactions to decaf because of the chemical process in extracting out the caffeine. Some coffees have more organic way of doing this, which may resolve that issue.

Mmmm....coffeeeeeeeee.....love my coffeeeeeee!!!!

Ash I assume you don't drink alcoholic beer because of your faith so you should compare non-alcoholic beer with decaffeinated coffee rather than real coffee as real beers taste a huge amount better.

No, I did used to drink the "real beers".. but after some (kidney stones).. i have to .. i say again.. I HAVE TO.. drink non-alcoholic beer & not that much either .. one (can) every 3-4 days or week.

sometimes the beer makes the tiny stones to drop down to the bladder.. which can be very painful when i set & if i have to pee.

& for the second time.. you can not..... compare beers to magic charm of coffee.. ever..

which remind me that if i see kofi annan down the street i woul ask him :
coffee` kofi............?

Sounds very nasty. I knew a fellow who had kidney stones so he had to cut down on binge drinking but he really drank so much he would often end up falling in a ditch somewhere.

I probably like the taste of high quality beers more but ultimately I like the taste of both. Hey its double the fun!

Three drinks in my world. Coffee (mixed with hot chocolate), SoBe Vitamin Waters, and red wine.

I'm drinking coffee right now. 8:15 at night. I don't care. I'm crazy like that.

Sorry!!

How long have you been without it? (besides that cup you recently had). I went a year once, when I was doing a complete detox, but went right back to it. I'm much nicer with coffee in my life
