For years I have said that my best guess was that 0bama0 was born in Hawaii. No more.

1. For years we "birthers" were ridiculed for demanding a birth certificate. We were told that we were less than idiots, because any idiot could look up the BC on line where 0bama0 had gone to the unprecedented length of posting it. Efforts to educate those to the different forms available from Hawaii fell on willfully deaf ears.

Perhaps because it has been shown over and over again that it is irrelevant...not that that irrelevancy makes any difference to the bigots who cannot abide the fact that a black man was appointed to be president.

quote:

2. During those same years 0bama0 went (and still goes) to desperate lengths to avoid letting any court examine any evidence, hear any case, that might result in the court defining "natural born citizen".

Just how does a sitting president prevent any court from hearing a case?

quote:

I assumed, giving 0bama0 the benefit of the doubt, that he worried the court would conclude- as I and many others have- that the proper definition of NBC would require both parents to be American citizens.

Should that happen how many u.s. presidents would we have to expunge from the history books ?

quote:

That would, of course, render moot the question of where he was born. The new evidence shows that he had much more than his questionable (in several senses) paternity on his mind.

Which new evidence are you speaking of?

quote:

3. Then along came Trump, and his exuberant, unapologetic, very very loud embrace of birtherism. And- poof!!!- an alleged Hawaiian long form birth certificate appeared as though by magic (or fraud).

Any proof of this assertion of fraud? Or is this yet some more of your pc bigotry?

quote:

As an aside, none of those who ever belittled us apologized for having called us idiots, racists, and fools even though the second form proved the worthlessness of the form they had been exalting.

I have pointed out your bigoted post and so far see no reason to change my position.
How exactly does the long form prove the "worthlessness" of the short form"?

quote:

And then along came Sheriff Joe Arapaio, and his investigative posse. I'm not going to go into all of it; I'm not at all sure that I understand all of it yet. But the birth certificate is a fake.

You admit you do not know what you are talking about but continue to tout your ignorance

quote:

Short form:

It was created digitally, in layers. As such, when it first appeared on the web, people downloaded it and deconstructed it, in layers. That cannot be done by the programs these people used if the image downloaded was a solid, printed form scanned into the web.
Shortly after this was reported the White House (evidently) printed the form they had created and scanned it onto their website, replacing the digitally created image they had first put up. The obvious forgery exists, however, in tens of thousands, perhaps millions of downloads around the world.

Of course we have your word for this but instead of a note from your mom how about some solid proof of your allegations?

quote:

He's a fraud. Period.

Speaking "ex cathedra" may work for the pope but you ain't he.

quote:

Arizona is threatening to keep him off the ballot. If even one state does, the reaction from the 0bama0 camp, and the waterfall effect from the other states, may finally get the issue heard in the courts.

Legally what do you think would be the ramifications of such a bigoted move?
My best guess would be the arrest and conviction of those who tried such crap.
The civil war setteled the question of state soverignity...or were you not in class when that was discussed?

charlestonscmilk -> RE: More from the Birther front (5/20/2012 2:50:24 PM)

I try not to weigh in on stuff like this, but I could NOT let the John McCain post go unanswered. John McCain was indeed born in Panama, on a US NAVAL STATION. His father was in the US NAVY and he was born in the base hospital.
EVERY US military base wherever it is in the world is considered as US SOIL!.
How do I know this, for sure? I was born on a US Military Base in Germany, and no one, at least no intelligent person, has ever hinted that I was not a US Citzen.
Geeze people!
I will not dignify the Barak bull-hockey with an answer.

"The Hawaii attorney general’s office has reportedly told Bennett that there are steps he needs to take in order to confirm President Obama’s birth records. Those steps include Bennett proving that he legitimately needs confirmation in order to update the records at his office."This is interesting: why not just to release the records? Don't forget that Romney's dad, who ran for POTUS in 1968, was born in Mexico. Did anyone raise a stink over that?

mnottertail -> RE: More from the Birther front (5/21/2012 7:49:41 AM)

Willard Romney Rodriguez (one would think, would have as much trouble in Arizona as Obama is having) unless there is something else afoot.

I don't know. But, if you're right about his birth, they certainly should have.
Rubio may be next, btw.....

"Latest Limbaugh Litany – Obama Faked Being Born In Kenya, He’s Actually American (AUDIO)"

I told ya`ll this was coming!

The cons are so bereft of conscience, shame and conceptual perception that they are now claiming the birther thing was a all ruse all along by Obama, to get them to jump off the crazy-cliff!

Is President Obama that scary talented and smart that he could cook up a plan years before the fact or are the republicans really that foolish?

thishereboi?......[:D]

"If you’re not getting confused by the twists and turns of birtherism, you haven’t been paying attention. Last week, Breitbart.com made a huge deal of a pamphlet that was released in 1991, listing Kenya as Barack Obama’s birthplace. It turns out that it was a simple error, but still, for the right, it’s huge news and if the media doesn’t cover it, it’s proof that we are in the pocket of the President. Rush Limbaugh, however, chose to take a different twist on the story. According to him, it wasn’t a simple error at all. Obama pretended that he was born in Kenya (yes, you have that right), so he could take advantage of affirmative action programs that are allegedly offered to people from Africa.

It’s accepted that he was born in Hawaii. So the question is, how did this happen? And that’s what a lot of people are trying to figure out. Why in the world would the blurb say he was born in Kenya when he wasn’t? No, Dawn, it’s not because he was. He wasn’t born in Kenya. There has to be a reason for this. You know what I think it is? The same thing Elizabeth Warren’s trying to do. I think this is why we’re not seeing grade transcripts. I think there’s a whole lot of affirmative action going on here with Obama. I don’t think they want us to see the courses that he took. Not so much what his grades were, but I don’t think they want us to see the courses the guy took. They don’t want us to see what he wrote. They don’t want us to see what courses he took. It’s not so much the grades, but this business of saying and telling his literary agent — ’cause this was up for years, it was not just up for a short period of time. It’s just an effort to make himself sound more exotic. And what it really indicates is that the guy will lie. He will exaggerate."

Check out rush`s use of bigoted dirty trick-racial code words.

The guy can`t make a comment about a black guy without degrading them in this way....

Must be disgusting to have to defend hateful ugly leaders in your party like this....yes thishereboi?

Rubio may be next, btw.....

He was born in Chihuahua. His grandfather had left the US way back when to join the Mormon colony there and escape persecution for polygamy.

I don't think Rubio would have a problem as he was born on US soil even though his parents weren't citizens yet.

By US law, he was a citizen by birth. Maybe he will become our first "Anchor Baby" vice president.

Again.
Anyone without a dog inn the fight, speaking English as a first language, would understand that "citizen" and "natural born citizen" cannot mean the same thing.
Any normal person reading the Constitution would decide that "citizen" and "natural born citizen" do not mean the same thing.
Any normal person reading Marbury v Madison would understand it precludes "citizen" and "natural born citizen" from meaning the same thing.

0bama0 has a possible claim to NBC status, if the BC holds up. That claim imo needs to be litigated, but it is in fact a rational claim.
Rubio has no claim at all.

Strange, I've seen the President's short form and long form birth certificates, both of which serve as 100% uncontestable proof that he was born in Hawai'i.

But of course your quote is from wingnutdaily which is a proven liar.

joether -> RE: More from the Birther front (5/24/2012 2:25:56 AM)

Well, new information related to the thread. Straight from the 'Lunatic Capital of the USA':

quote:

Arizona's secretary of state said on Wednesday he has received information from state officials in Hawaii that verifies Barack Obama's birth records, satisfying criteria to put the president on the November ballot in the state.

Ken Bennett, who in addition to his secretary of state duties serves as Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's campaign co-chairman in Arizona, made a request to authorities in Hawaii on March 30 about Obama's birth records on behalf of more than 4,000 constituents, his office said

I find the bold part the most amusing item. Talk about 'conflict of interest'!

The state didnt want to post the President of the United States of America on the ballot, regardless of reality and fact pertaining to his right to run for this specific office. How immature do certain Americans need to be regarding a fair ballot? Or is it the classic Black Knight chant: "CHEAT TO WIN, CHEAT TO WIN, CHEAT TO WIN"! Its so silly that there is a large number of people in Arizona that STILL believe, against the facts and evidence at present, of Mr. Obama's right to run for President. He was on the LAST ballot (got 45% of the vote, but lost to Sen. McCain).

NottyLilGirl -> RE: More from the Birther front (5/24/2012 3:12:38 AM)

I LOVE BIRTHERS!!

Yes, I love them, because every time they get in the news President Obama gets more votes, and I really love Southern Baptist (grin) That nitwit Charles Worley just may swing enough voters away from the republicans out of pure shame and the need to distance themselves from such blatant ignorance and bigotry, to tilt the state to the Democrat side.

So, I say, don't try to shut them up, don't try to censure them, let them speak, let them rant and rave and get on television.

subspaceseven -> RE: More from the Birther front (5/24/2012 10:17:06 AM)

OMG.....birthers crack me up...Hell FOX NEWS is pissing off the GOP by keeping this issue alive, even Karl Rove is saying this is a dead issue, he is a US Citizen

Buttttt NOOOOOOO......who cares that Hawaii has supplied both long and short forms, birthers believe the idiots like that crazy sheriff in AZ, or zealots on the web.....

Keep it up birthers and teabaggers......

Does that mean that Rove is going to have to make a public apology to Limbaugh, or have the Republicans stopped doing that now that the election season has begun?

MileHighM -> RE: More from the Birther front (5/24/2012 12:04:39 PM)

Birthers......could admin just do to this what they did with Zimmerman-----combine to a single thread----it is such a dead issue. Barak has damn near served an entire term as POTUS....IT IS IRRELEVANT!!! Even if Fox or other keep digging it, the discussion of such will yield nothing. In the end, no one will legitimately try and invalidate his presidency and what he has done.

Besides, Dem or Rep, who the hell wants president Biden......Oh wait maybe its Biden that keeps this birther crap alive from behind the schenes [:D]

Moonhead -> RE: More from the Birther front (5/24/2012 1:17:14 PM)

The problem is that unlike zimmerman, you only get lone nuts talking about teh Kenyan's birth certificate now.
