I rinsed it off in the sink with some mild shampoo and laid it over a towel on the edge of the tub to dry. I was told to be careful and not let it touch any metal. Did I do this properly? Is there anything else I need to do? I will not be wearing it again until Fetcon in August.

If you're not going to wear it again for awhile, you will want to get either Vivishine or unscented talc and coat the dress to protect it. Then you can either fold it up and put it in a large Ziploc bag to tuck in a drawer or hang it on a plastic hanger, covered by a dry cleaner's bag or hanging garment bag in the closet.

If it was the 1st time the latex has seen the pjur, it will soak it in . put some on on the inside and outside surface and on you. reapply duing the evening if you sit on things or from too many people toucking/spanking you (a spanking on latex has a higher pitch and lovely sound). clean and dry like you did ans store in a ziplock bag in a drawer , out of the sunlight. The 2nd time you will put it on, it will already be shiny and you won't have to add as much pjur as the 1st time :) enjoy and have fun :)

Hi everyone, I design and make latex clothing and upto now I have always used Vivishine, with great results. I must admit though I have thought about having ago with pjur, never used it before, alway used baby powder for dressing. Has anyone tried both and can compair? Be intrested to know which one is best.

I wear a lot of latex... Got 3 pieces last week, have 3 on the way now, and just ordered 2 more yesterday.

Vivishine is my fave, pjur cult 2nd, and I detest talc...

((Chuckles to self))
I will never forget the first time someone handed me a rubber dress. I looked at the giant balloon sort of folded up looking thing in my hand and looked up in confusion and asked...
"And how do I get inside without tearing it?" There was no zipper, and no laces anywhere.
You must understand... I know how you get a teddy bear into a balloon, and there was just no way...
In the back of my head I was vaguely and very uncomfortably recalling a fisting demo I saw once at an event in Phoenix. Not the best demo ever, which is to say it didn't exactly make me want to try what they were advertizing as it were. (But, credit where it's due, most of the demos there were fabulous, those guys put on a good show)
The answer was alot of laughing and my choice of lube or baby powder

NoChoiceLeft -> RE: How to wear a rubber/latex dress (11/4/2012 12:27:57 AM)

Oh, and for the record, flavored lube is the wrong choice, but regular old Wet or Eros or even Anal Eze works fine. Mineral oil also works well.
I have a friend who runs a little fet shop, they prefer a lightly scented baby powder over talc most of the time for storing the back stock of rubber wear. The customers say nice things about it and apparently it works just as well as regular talc.

Does anyone have any tips on not sweating when in latex? Whenever I wear it I don't feel hot but I start sweating right away. Makes it all a bit uncomfortable. Should I just stick to antiperspirant and if so any particular type? I've always been a bit worried it would affect the latex? Or should I try the talc route? Up until now I've just used a silicon based lube. Thanks!

???????????????????????
Petroleum based products, including mineral oils are a disaster for latex!! Use strictly only silicone lubes and dressing aids!!!
As for sweating, especially when in full enclosure, it's something you can't avoid...of course sweating depends mostly on external temperature and humidity levels (apparently summer is not a good time for rubbering up!!)...but after all sweat is part of the rubber fun!!!
