Arturas -> NBC, CBS, ABC are silent on the largest lawsuit ever filed against a sitting President. (5/24/2012 3:59:27 PM)

These news networks have been silent about the Mega Lawsuit filed three days ago by the Catholic Church against President Obama. It is the largest lawsuit in American History., "Many" (I am speaking in MSNBCese here) cannot but feel they are suppressing the news because it might harm the President. Is that a fair assessment?

I don't watch television; I don't even have one anymore. TV "news" hasn't been news in decades.

NPR covered it: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=153201926

So did your arch-nemesis, MSNBC (which I've actually never seen):
http://video.msnbc.msn.com/now-with-alex-wagner/47521901/

CBS This Morning devoted a full report to the lawsuits.

ABC covers it on their website.

And you go and show how naughty all those media sources are by posting nothing useful or relevant to us as well (in the form of actual, verifiable information! Good job! You just failed at news reporting. If the Catholic Church is so wishing to slame the President of the United States in the polical arena, maybe we should revoke their 'tax exception' status. See how fast they shut up once it becomes very obvious they'll be paying for everything like any other for-profit venture in America. THEN, they can talk and slam the President to their heart's content without being hypocrits....

Or maybe they covered it but you simply made up your own reality to attack the President.

For instance do you have any evidence that any of the suits name the President, specifically, as a defendant? If not how could any of the suits be the biggest ever againsta sitting President?

I'll join you in that suit. Who is the Catholic Church to preach to me, a non-Catholic, what medication I can and can not take?

MSNBC's website does not count. While respected, PBS news is not on a major network. So, it seems that only CBS aired anything significate and you agre with that? Ok. But why was that do you think?

I guess they're trying to raise money to pay for all the settlements ordered because of decades worth of priests buttfucking altar boys and the associated supression of facts related to such activities.

According to news reports the suit is agains the "Obama Administration" and I assume the "buck stops there" as it did for other presidents. Yes. I think that is the case. So, since it is the biggest suit against an administration and Obama is the head of that administration it seems reality applies here and I am simply wanting feedback as to why two of the three major networks failed to report anything about it. Now, let's assume this is NOT the biggest suit against a sitting President, does that explain two of the three major networks ignored a less than biggest suit by the Catholic Church against, not the U.S. Government, but the Obama Administration and so since the size of the suit is less important than the the fact that it is happening, then perhaps you might comment on why two of the three failed to report it?

You might also quote whatever I said to "attack on the President" since we are talking about reality here.

Do you really think that kind of reply is appropriate, on subject and factual? I don't feel so. Your post repels me and think it best to just block you from now on.

Interesting post. You suggest they (the networks) are possibly showing contempt for the actions of the Catholic Church? That's a lot of their audience. I was under the impression they (the Church) were being forced to offer insurance plans that must pay for contraceptives in their non-church institutions like schools and hospitals and felt this was something they cannot do as it voilates church doctrine and even though they do not force the employees of these non-church institutions to be church members and follow church doctrine they still cannot (be expected to) support non-doctrine actions with church money. Thus, they have filed suit alleging a violation of religious freedom, I think. Those of you who are history buffs remember Thanksgiving orginated with the Puritans who fled to America for religious freedom.

You decided to mention the suit deserves contempt. I can't see why so perhaps you would explain why the suit deserves contempt?

Lemme guess........fucksnews said the other networks weren`t covering the story and you swallowed.......[;)]

Sure you missed it or the cool-aid is that good but you cons just lost that fight......badly.

Even if the administration loses or draws(which they won`t) they still win at the ballot box ie. they win, period.

The Catholic church was`t very sympathetic before this and that`s only gotten worse.

I bet you`re not even Catholic.........[8|]

I'm afraid that is not true. It seems the CBS report carries that information also. I was going to ask if you have something to say related to the OP but I thought I'd ask why you think it is important that I be a Catholic or to put it another way, since I am American then is that not enough of a reason to be interested in what my Government is doing?

The "largest lawsuit in American History".

That's quite a statement.
