Might have a conversation about it. Some were simply taught to address the opposite side of the coin in this manner. Via the Chatrooms (the great cyber learning rooms which they often are <--- NOT!). Anyways, I tend to view Slave Speak and Slash Speak as two different animals. I'd rather read words which people can actually speak. How the hell do you actually say "S/he" anyways?

I've done the slash speak myself and have no problem with it, but then, I adapt fast linguistically. I understand that people find it visually intrusive but frankly, even if it's the majority, the writing style exists for a reason. To the original OP I would say that I've seen slash speak since my days at Iron Rose and Crystal Palace, back in the early 90s. It is a chat room creation, no more invasive than <3 or LOL, and it does predate Gor activity if one compares it to the appearance of Gor in those areas as well. Third person speak goes back as far as writing has existed.
