ORIGINAL: landrezy I second (or third) the vote for Durian. I've never met anyone who says they like it who wasn't lying. Try me. [:D] Seriously, give me fresh, ripe durian any day. Also, it wouldn't be widely cultivated, grown, and exported from SE Asia if everyone was lying who said they liked it. I think perhaps it's disliked in the west so much as people haven't had the chance to sample good quality fresh fruit ( or even decent quality frozen fruit ). It ships ripe difficulty, and it's pretty expensive outside its homeland. It's pretty rich, but so are lots of other more common foods, like brie cheese or chocolate mousse.
