ORIGINAL: Musicmystery There are no fiscally conservative Republicans A blatant lie quote:
-- they want to rely on magically "growing" our way into a surplus and cutting the programs they oppose anyway, while continuing to fund military projects the military doesn't even want and cutting taxes to further worsen the situation. Even with rapid growth (not likely), the numbers just aren't there. Followed by a pathetic strawman argument Though I can agree that while Republicans havent been conservative enough generally, they are the lesser of two fiscal evils and need more Tea Party influence Now wait a second. How so? Is that not precisely the sum of their proposals? I'm serious. Where's the error? I don't think there is one, and that this is an accurate repetition, not characterization, of their positions. It's even what they're running on. How is that a straw man? On the Teas, yeah, we're gonna disagree strongly. They're well-intentioned as far as reigning in spending, but clueless to the realities of governing effectively. Unlike St. Ronnie, it's not just that simple. And I agree that this doesn't make Dems economic heroes by default. It doesn't.
