Lets see, in your own words, Bush is a chimp, Obama is a chimp jr, and now Bono is a twat... What exactly are you adding to the topic again?

Um, exactly how does this fit into anything being discussed? Oh yeah, you're pointing out how smart Romney is by avoiding town... Singular, not towns, plural...

Singular is not synonymous with single, so you're misunderstanding the English here--it's not talking about "one" town, but rather that Romney skips towns ravished by Bain Capital.

Sensible strategy. But you wanted towns were Romney isn't welcome. There they are.

More than you are, obviously.
About all you've brought to the party so far is a display of how lost dittos get when they're asked to explicate on the drivel Rush spouts.

So by your definition, a question is now a complaint?

Are you in some doughnut induced insulin shock?  She didnt complain, the city manager did, and he was the only one.  Hardly a town, innit?

Where did I say the town complained about Obama?

Don't give him ideas: do you really want the lad loading up on twinkies and looking for a lefty to shoot?

So Romney isn't welcome in a town that Bain has affected 11 years after he left the company? Kinda stupid to be angry at Romney when he might be the next guy who can bring back the jobs they're whining about... Doncha think?

Why not claim that Bush isn't welcome in San Francisco while your at it?

Moonhead -> RE: Obama campaign expects the tax payers of NH to foot the bill for police protection (6/26/2012 2:56:36 PM)

Quite.
Nobody is more keen to stick corporation oners with a new overhead to make them bring jobs back to your country than Romney.

mnottertail -> RE: Obama campaign expects the tax payers of NH to foot the bill for police protection (6/26/2012 3:00:32 PM)

Well, it is no more stupid than to attribute some success to Romney in job creations at Staples where he hasnt been in there since 2001. Thats 11 years for you innumerate neocons and teabaggers.

But I assume they know that a fellow who promises every college graduate a job if he is elected president, that he is an a fucking loser, and don't know one fucking thing about creating jobs.

Dude. YOU asked for towns where Romney wasn't welcome.

Drink less. Think more.

No, I asked for towns that complained about a Romney visit, not towns where Romney wasn't welcome.

Um, exactly how does this fit into anything being discussed? Oh yeah, you're pointing out how smart Romney is by avoiding town... Singular, not towns, plural...[8|]

Lets examine the story anyway, shall we?
quote:

The Sensata Technologies plant, which has been on the forefront of producing state-of-the-art automotive sensors, was owned by Texas Instruments, and then by Honeywell, before being sold in 2010 to Sensata Technologies Holding, N.V, a firm based in the Netherlands but majority-owned by Bain Capital. Bain, the private equity firm that Mitt Romney helped to develop and that continues to make him a very rich man, has since consolidated ownership of Sensata.

Ok here we have an acquisition made by Bain 11 YEARS after Romney left, but somehow he's still getting blamed for it.

quote:

The workers at the plant wanted Romney to make a slight detour on his bus trip and take a look at the devastation being caused by Bain’s machinations at a plant where many of them have worked for more than thirty years.

The plant’s operations are rapidly skrinking as Sensata moves to outsource work from Illinois to China.

Funny how they don't mention GfuckingM building a plant in China, and that maybe the plant GfuckingM is building is the plant that needs the sensors... Or it could have had something to do with the Illinois tax rate of 9%

I thought Chum's links were pathetic...[8|]

actualy plural...... Freeport, Illinois,.... plus...

Ok, isn't Scott Walked being investigated for fraudulent use of tax payer money?

Why does Obama's campaign deny NH residents the funds it will cost them for a CAMPAIGN stop? I could understand if this was a Presidential visit, but technically it's not, Obama isn't going there on official business.

quote:

DURHAM, NH -- The Obama campaign is locked in a stalemate with a small New Hampshire town over who should foot the cost for police protection for the president's visit on Monday.

Durham Town Administrator Todd Selig says the Obama campaign should pay the $20,000 to $30,000 in police overtime costs it will take to provide adequate protection for the president's visit to Oyster River High School on Monday afternoon.

But the Obama campaign says it won't pay, which has prompted the Durham Town Council to call a special Monday morning meeting to address the issue.

"Certainly we welcome candidates," Durham Town Councilor Diana Caroll said. "It's important for our democracy. But when it comes to presidential candidates, it does cost a lot of money for all the services... Who pays for that? That's the question."

An Obama campaign official confirmed Saturday night that it will not cover the cost of any police details associated with Monday's visit. Typically, the campaign does not pay for security planning, the source said, only for expenses related to the event itself. For example, the campaign is paying to use Oyster River High School on Monday.

If you really need it explained to you that avoiding towns who hate you is relevant to towns where you aren't welcome, this is pointless to explain.

DesideriScuri -> RE: Obama campaign expects the tax payers of NH to foot the bill for police protection (6/27/2012 5:26:57 AM)

I think campaigns should have to foot the bill for the extra security costs their campaign stops bring. I don't care if it's a State election or National, the campaign should foot the bill for the extra. Imagine how that would benefit the stop. Without the added costs of extra security, any and all extra revenue will be a boon to the stop. The local businesses will get a boost in their daily take, and local governments will get a boost to their sales tax revenues without having to foot extra safety personnel costs.

I don't care which candidate, which party, or whether it's a state or national candidate. The campaigns should have to bear that cost for a campaign stop.
