Romney gave his state what he will not offer the country? Health Care was popular enough to pass, people's lack of knowledge is the only thing that makes it unpopular.
Under the economic circumstances last time the extension for tax cuts, who wouldn't have not extended them, but as time goes on, Romney being beholding to Grover Norquist will mean, that when the economy stabilizes a bit more, no going back to pay for government. If you look at job growth, you'll see where the jobs have been lost, and there is no growth, police, fire departments, teachers, private sector growth is all there has been so far!
As for the housing issues, your lack of realization of Greenspan's absolute influence, in the direction the country took, just to blame Dodd and Frank, your judgment is faulty! Hell, Greenspan, is the one who suggested such things as derivatives, cross state banking, trading on heating degree days!...
Would you prefer academics as advisor's concerning economic issues.....really?....does having them, negate the acts to reign in the banks and Wall Street? Like Consumer Protection Act?

Obama moved to close Gitmo, it was the Congress who failed to do so, and refuses to this day to re-visit the issue as long as Hawks of the Republican Party serve in the Senate and House.
Romney has no position he isn't willing to change!....He is as recyclable as a milk jug, give him enough opportunity and he'll re-invent his position again! From abortion, to the health care mandate,(which he employed in Mass.) nothing is solid with him but the moouse he uses on his hair!
