Im writing in Bernie Sanders. Put that cranky old bastard in the White House and see how quick shit changes.

It doesn't matter. Nothing of any real import...will change. Obamacare has been fun but just re-arranging the profits like ALL 'reform' in the US.

Sanders, Paul, name them...they'd ALL have to go if they didn't play ball with the bankers and their shills.

Paul would be my choice though admittedly he has no chance. Therefore it comes down to the lesser of two evils and I will not vote for evil in any case. To bad Cuthulu is not on the ballot for the evil inclined.
Ultimately I'm not so sure it matters as I think, sooner rather than later, neither side will be able to pay for what has been promised. The cake has been baked and even Paul cannot stop the trainwreck that is unfolding.

I dislike Romney and am kinda neutral on Obama. So I guess I'll vote for Obama. But don't expect much enthusiasm from me. It's more to keep the wacko GOP hardliners from accomplishing anything, than any other reason.

This sums up how I feel.

Still thinking about it, but I'm leaning to the left.

Here's something to ponder as the elections draw closer -

With the US presidential election just 4 months away, focus on tier 1 economic data will become acute, as will headlines blasting top-line data without much, if any, underlying "between the lines" analysis. Which is why we have decided to put together a template of key data series that in our opinion best capture the dramatic shift in the labor composition of the US welfare state under the Obama administration, starting with January 2009. Here are the facts:

Total Nonfarm Payrolls have decreased by -1.3 million from December 2008 (134,379K) to June 2012 (133,088); Source: St. Louis Fed
Full-time jobs based on the Household Survey, have decreased by 2.5 million from 117,039K to 114,573K; Source: Table A.9, BLS
Parti-time jobs based on the Household Survey, have increased by 1.6 million from 26,3187 to 27,894K; Source: Table A.9, BLS
Foodstamps recipients have increased by 14.6 million from 31.567 million to 46,187 (as of April 2012); Source: USDA
Disability recipients have increased by 1.3 million from 7.427 million to 8.733 million; Source: Social Security Administration

And that, in a nutshell, is how the economy has performed over the past 42 months.

Musicmystery -> RE: We got 4 months left....who you gonna vote for? (7/7/2012 12:17:23 PM)

quote:

That, in a nutshell is how the under-economy has performed. At the same time, the upper economy steadily grows.

Those two economies are the direct impact of "trickle down" policies that (1) continue to widen the gulf between rich and poor, concentrating wealth at the top and (2) clinging to the historically and currently demonstrably incorrect belief that sending money to the top creates new opportunities for all. It doesn't. It actually rewards hanging on to funds instead of investing them in enterprises (which come with tax benefits).

I'd say this would preclude you from voting any way but Republican, no matter the candidate:"It's no secret that I would like to see Obamacare repealed, but with everything else that numbnut motherfucker has done, I just want to get rid of the Assclown in Chief. Honestly, I don't see much point in listing everything Obummers done, but between the bowing and scraping to foreign dignitaries, Fast and Furious, his disdain for the Constitution and his generally uselessness... I just wonder why anyone would still want to give him a second term."

I would say your faith in a man who is best known as a corporate raider either mean you don't understand who you are voting for or you enjoy the corporate rape of the citizenry?
Please explain Romney's omnipresent economic policy to create jobs? Reduce the deficit? Fix health care? His foreign policy depth that leads you to believe he would be such a great leader?

You wonder why anyone would vote for the President to have a second term, I wonder what aside from your personal hatred of the President, would motivate you specifically to vote for Romney?

Unless something changes I will vote for Obama…only because I believe he is doing what he believes is best for the American people…all people...even if I don't agree with some of his policies.

I believe Romney will follow the money and govern that way.

I believe the Republican party has many good ideas but rather then show us the ideas and how they will work they choose to show us how Obama’s will not work…Obstructionism for the good of the party and big business at the expense of the American people…It is a shame and disgrace that my grand old party has chosen this course.

You may want to read my entire post. I don't know which part of "fiscally responsible" you fail to understand. Perhaps that's why you felt the need to only quote part of my post and hint that my reasons for hating Obama for his ruinous economic policies are the result of something more sinister... that you just don't have the guts to say outright.

If you want to make the case that the Obama economy has been a resounding success, by all means, make it. I could really use the laugh. If you want to continue throwing around barely-veiled innuendo's about people being racist because you don't have the balls to make the accusation outright; well, that's always good for a couple of laughs too. Especially since the paragraphs of my post preceding the one you decided to cherry pick specifically answers your idiotic question/insinuation about my reasons for preferring Romney over Obama.

Which makes your question and pointless pondering of my political motivation actually seem pretty retarded. Why don't you treat us all to some more of this short-bus political analysis, and tell the rest of the class exactly what it is about Obummers leadership that makes him so deserving of a second term.

The economy is actually worse than when he took office. Unemployment is still rising and there are more Americans on food stamps than ever.

He supported gay marriage, but didn't really.... he just said he did.

He claimed he supports the Occutards, but won't even talk about them now and prefers the company of the Hollywood elite.

He claimed he wouldn't pass any taxes on the middle class or the poor, but the SCOTUS ruling means he has passed the biggest tax hike on the poor and middle class in the history of history. In fact his tax hike is so massive it will require around 16,500 new IRS agents to manage it.

As I said earlier, his economic policies are so fucked up he can't even get his own party to pass a budget when he bothers to give them on.

Guantanamo is still open because he found out that Bush was right, and that the people there are fucking psychos that need to be locked up.

Bush tax policies are still in place, because Obama decided they really were the best thing for the country after blaming Bush for the economy

Green policies Obama supported were abject failures, including the green jobs he outsourced to China and Finland to manufacture electric cars no one wants. Meanwhile, he's declared a war on coal, which would be needed to power up the same electric cars he spent bail-out dollars to have manufactured overseas.

This idiot actually disarmed our military in a war zone, but refused to prosecute men intimidating American voters with nightsticks.

Consider his gun running scheme to Mexico that got a border patrol agent and (allegedly) hundreds of Mexican citizens killed.

Consider the fact that he invited terrorists into the White House.

Consider that for the first time since their founding, global economic rating agencies have downgraded Americas economic rating. Once would have been bad enough, but this administrations policies have caused the U.S. to be downgraded a few times since Obama took office.

The Obama administration is a complete disaster. In fact, the only way for him to tie as the worst President in American history at this stage of the game would be for a civilian riot to start outside his home during the 46th Presidents term in office. That would put him neck-in-neck for the title with Franklin Pierce(D). However, the Wikipedia description of Franklin Pierces term in office aptly describes the Obama Presidency. "He was unable to steer a steady, prudent course that might have sustained a broad measure of support. Having publicly committed himself to an ill-considered position, he maintained it steadfastly, at disastrous cost to his reputation."

However, I do understand white liberals unwavering support for Barak Obama. Here's my take on it, and I won't mince words like some candy-assed hack. I think that deep down, white liberals only like Obama because he's half-black. It's not like he actually does anything worthy of anyone's support. His record proves that. Blacks supported him the first time because he's black. That's fair... They voted for the history of it. Now they've figured out his game and many of them won't be voting for him again. They know that Obama can't deliver anything but Hype and Blame, and it's not helping them out one little bit.

White liberals have a reason to keep Obama in office though. Supporting the first almost black president helps liberals get rid of their white guilt. I think that deep down inside somewhere, liberals realize that keeping minorities on welfare and keeping them dependent on the government is just another form of slavery. I suspect that underneath your greedy callous exteriors, you know in your heart that giving out vouchers for medical insurance and education doesn't even come close to making up for the economic chains Democrats (and most specifically progressives) have kept African Americans in since there has been a Democratic Party. After all, as long as you can keep blacks beholden to you they will vote for you. You wouldn't want them to actually succeed and not need you anymore, because then they would get a taste of the good life and you wouldn't be able to control them anymore.

I suspect that voting for the black guy makes white liberals feel less like the racists they really are. White liberals just like to think that it will absolve them of their all racist policies as long as they keep voting for their token black man. It gives you plausible deniability. "I'm not a racist! I voted for the black guy!" Progressive liberals are every bit as racist today as their founding fathers in the KKK were in their hayday. Gone are old chains of iron. Now liberals have convinced blacks to accept economic chains. Liberals may not be allowed to beat blacks into submission on a tree in front of the Big House any more, but they have figured out how to insure blacks are kept in check by keeping them beholden to the Grand Old Party. I'll give liberals this; they've done a bang up job of making minorities love the slavery liberals want to keep them in.

I don't suffer from white guilt, so a white liberal insinuating that anyone is racist is really just kind of sad in an ironic sort of way from my point of view. When they don't actually have the balls to say it outright and have to make the accusation in a veiled verbal attack, it's downright laughable!

I cannot see voting for the party (the GOP) that got the USA into this financial mess in the first place. To me all of the divisive issues of the day have been started by these same folks to cover up the facts that the upper class is packing away the profits in huge chunks every year....the wealthy/poor gap gets bigger every year,…with none of the job growth that was promised by the GOP for the wealthy tax cuts....

its history repeating itself really, the GOP is using hitler's plan to rise to power almost to the letter, -

Scare the religious with homosexuals,.... Push DOM when the biggest destroyer of marriages is the strain of a bad home financial situation.

Use immigration as the excuse why jobs are scant & why the economy is bad (the lie...if we just get rid of the infiltrators there will be more jobs for the "REAL AMERICANS"…NOT!!)

If we just give everything to the elite of the country (now called the wealthy) that they will lead the country to greatness and glory.....all the while overspending in arms to be a military power... we're in a perpetual wartime economy, thats their excuse.

And now instead of a Jewish problem, now its Muslims….. that are the scourge of the country.

Meanwhile, the rabble that IS the middle class is being made to support it all, because the wealthy dont want to be bothered with the rest of us, while we give them every tax advantage... and their wealth stockpiles get bigger.

NOW…the GOP says they want to fix the problem they caused? REALLY?? With more of the same policies that caused this? REALLY? Same tax cuts, same business strategy, same cuts to social programs while over spending on things like the Osprey plane?? Beyond repealing AHCA anybody discussing the GOP's plan for the economy?

I feel that the conservatives want to drive the USA into making the workers of this country fight each other for survival while the wealthy sit back and laugh back to the offshore banks...
