All because the GOP's economic policies allowed for those companies to dump and run for cheaper labor with the Tax cut money they got.... and still get. IF instead those companies had gotten a TAX CREDIT for Hiring Workers off the welfare rolls like during the Clinton years not only would of people still been in those homes but the vast majority would of refinanced at a decent 30-year FIXED rate, and bush woulda looked like the genius he wasnt. No defaulted loans, no massive job losses, no bank or possible Fannie and Freddie bailout needed, and get this.... MAYBE even McCain woulda had a shot at winning even with the brunette with a dumb blond brain.

all because ur party got full of itself and greedy to buy votes with "across the board" tax cuts that its never had a way to pay for.

I'm writing in Ron Paul. Who cares if it splits the vote in some way. We're already fucked no matter which of the other two candidates is elected. I would ask the discontented and undecided to do the same. If nothing else, perhaps we can make enough of a stink to open the door for more acceptable candidates next election.

The Center on Budget and Priorities and the New York times said raising taxes on the "rich" would generate 700 billion over 10 years time. That breaks down to 70 billion a year. Even if spending remained the same, (which it won't, it always goes up) this 70 billion a year additional won't make a dent in the National Debt, Bill Clinton also has said raising taxes on the rich to Clinton levels WON'T do much. (something like a 4% increase in revenue ) WOW what a help! Bill said a tax increase from EVERYBODY will be necessary to decrease the debt. Boy, I bet Obama would like to bitch slap Clinton! Imagine, a prominant DEMOCRAT publically saying a tax increase on EVERYBODY is needed.

Why does Obama keep spouting this "tax the rich" propaganda? When it can easily be mathmatically proven to be bullshit? And worse, why do Democrats and liberals fall for it?

The effective tax rates on the wealthiest Americans are at just about the lowest they've ever been. Not coincidentally, the coefficient of inequality in this country is at just about the highest it has ever been. (You can look these up.) That's why those evil liberals of yours believe it's time to let the tax cuts expire. It's not RAISING taxes; it's RESTORING tax rates to what they were before George W. Bush decided to reward all his rich friends.

As for the red herring that it would raise "only" $700 billion--I could think of a lot of ways to use $700 billion. So what if it's only 4% of the solution? That's still better than 0% of the solution. If you need $100, you don't turn up your nose at $4.

Do you understand what Clinton said? Even raising taxes on the wealthy WON'T help much. That article I quoted said that even if you took 100% of the rich's income, that would only be 900 billion or 90 billion a year. Not even a small dent in the debt! Even thou the richer 5% pay like 50% of the tax load now, until you bring SPENDING under control, you are pissing into the wind. Obama and the rest of the politicians, Republican and Democrats have to have the balls to tell us we ALL are going to have to pay more tax if they keep spending at current levels.

And who said the world was fair and all this equality stuff? Rock stars, movie stars, etc etc get more ass than the rest of us. Should we start screaming "equality ratios, etc.!" Same goes for money. Some get it, some don't. whos fault is that?

I own a business and its not Amway, Avon or some multilevel scam. If I have a problem and devote my time to a solution that at best gives me a 5% improvment, (like "taxing the rich") I wouldn't be in business long.

Raising revenue 5% is something you would dismiss as not a wholisitic immediate fix and therefore not worthy of your consideration, would put you at a no-level marketing genius.
