I did not want to derail the other thread, but I was curious what men in the celebrity world other women find attractive - or NOT attractive.

Some actors that I do NOT find attractive are:

Tom Cruise (never liked him - didn't do a thing for me ever even since Risky Business - don't know why)
Richard Gere (he's been in movies I have liked, but he's got beady eyes and looks creepy to me.
Ben Affleck - I don't get it
Colin Farrell - sleazy


Men I find very sexy -

Robert Downey, Jr.
Sean Connery (even older, he's still got it)
Mel Gibson before he went all psychotic
Jeff Goldblum - I dunno - the cerebral thing, or maybe because he's got big hands? Something very sexy about him.
Christian Bale
Hugh Jackman


What's your opinion?

Johnny Depp, the guy who plays Eric on True Blood, Chris Meloni, and oddly I find Jeff Goldblum hot as well.

I never liked Tom Cruise, either.

I will always like Tommy Lee Jones, no matter what.
Ryan Reynolds.
Paul Rudd.
Robert Downey Jr.
Jeff Bridges = supreme confidence.
Tom Hanks

Most celebrity men, and women, are not appealing to me. I don't care for self centred, insecure, narcissists.

Two male charactures that I would own.

Daniel Craig as James Bond

Prince. He's soooooooooo pretty!

oh I agree with Chris Meloni absolutely!! Also the Joe Manganiello (Alcide from True Blook) as well as Alexander Skarsgard (Eric Northman)

Tommy Lee Jones is always great too

I agree with the ones you named and would add Brad Pitt and George Clooney.

I share the Tommy Lee Jones appreciation.

Others I like: Viggo Mortensen,
Daniel Day Lewis, Christian Bale,
Ryan Gosling, Colin Firth, Ed Harris,
Rufus Sewall and James Purefoy.

Those I find unattractive:
Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Ewan McGregor...just to name a few. They are too 'pretty' to be attractive.

Now give me someone like Sam Elliot, a young James Arness, Christian Bale...they have that certain 'bad boy' appearance that is appealing.

I would say most. There's very few celebrities that I think are not ugly. I think many are just lucky to have become celebrities...right time, right place, right family that they came from.

I really can't think of celebrities that I think are hot in just looks alone but fail in any other area for me:

Kiera Knightley and Jude Law

Really ugly ones:

Marilyn Manson and Jocelyn Wildenstein

i find alot of celebs a turn off. some guys are pretty and worth a glance, but i'd soon get bored of them.

i don't get the brad pit thing really.

depp is getting better as he gets older i guess

but for me i'd go for jason isaacs anytime. he usually plays a baddy very well.
