I haven't blocked a lot of people on the other side.  Maybe twenty, if that.
I just blocked my first on this side.  I don't know why I waited so long...she's always annoyed me.
The only problem I foresee is that my curiousity will get the better of me.
After all...I do like trainwrecks.
So who blocks on this side?  How many? 
And do you ever go and peek every now and then to see what assinine things are spewing forth?

I've never blocked on this side, I just dont read what ever it is they have to say....

BUT......... on the other side, you know that side where all the BS email is?
That side has me baffled.  Did you know you cant block someone who has
an inactive profile, yet they can still have full benfits of the site other then others
being able to view them?

I've blocked a lot of people and for a lot of reasons. Racists/bigots get an automatic block. I suppose I could just skip by their posts, but, damn.. some of them are so long when they spew their bile that it's just easier to block. Threads which turn into train wrecks, I tend to ignore after the first page or two. I really am here to discuss BDSM/life and fuck around in Random Stupidity. Heated discussion is fine.. that I like and debate is always cool, but once it steps over the line, I just leave the thread. I don't generally block people of strong opinion and conviction even if I think they're an ass. There are only so many hours in the day, so I don't read all the threads in all the forums. There are just too many! Any thread started by someone on my block list is ignored. If I can't even read the OP, I can't very well contribute to the thread. Once I block someone, I don't generally open up to see if they are still a racist or a bigot. I assume by the time they're old enough to log into an adult site, their ways are probably set. If I've blocked them for a reason other than bigotry, I might unblock on occasion to see if they have changed their ways. That hasn't happened yet though, so they just get reblocked.

I do not block anyone on this side.  That way I am kept informed - even with people that I don't agree with.
I just either pass the posts by or ignore the articles that annoy me.

Wow, thanks for this thread, Aileen (assuming it's not me you've blocked then you will see this!) I wasn't really aware that you could block someone's posts on here and didn't know the logistics of it, but thanks to this, I've given it a go for a certain someone and it seems to be working nicely although I am a very curious person...!  I'll probably unblock her after a while anyway, as I may wish to view a comment or something and if I don't, then I can skip them - but hey, I'm just playing with the option for now!

da has my admiration; she has better self-control and more knowledge on certain subjects than i.  i block most P/pl who irritate me temporarially; then check to see if T/they're over T//their snit.  Some are proven "blockees".  Makes the board a more pleasant experience.
