They think that discussions, meetings, or whatever they want to get them off is freely being offered so they just have to ask for it. They forget that human beings in all their complex glory are on the other side of the letters they type up. They're so concentrated on themselves that it never crosses their mind to consider that person they are asking to interact with has their own agenda and wants.

I know people see this is an adult site, it seems that their brains switch off at that point and they construe the subject of the site means they can bypass the usual social pattern and just go get what they want. I'm not freaking here to service strangers. That idea gets met with much outrage and indignation because the men contacting me can't conceive of me thinking such a thing. They are perceiving the site to be about what they want it to be, an endless purveyor of sex/kink. Sigh.

On one hand yeah, I can see where the topic may lend itself to the chucking aside of the usual social pattern, on the other hand we're all still people. I don't know, it's extremely depressing. I periodically hide my profile in order not to deal with it. I get so bone tired of men thinking I'm a product they can acquire by simply stating that they want my services. The screams of fake!, fake!, because women don't just put out are tiring. To me, the guys asking for instant gratification are the fakes. They seem to have forgotten that I'm not a blow up doll- here for their convenience.

See that type of thing is what enrages me. How is it not complete sexism and misogyny? For a guy to ask a stranger such personal questions like that, it is clear that they regard woman purely a sex objects.

Here's the thing they don't think about: How would they like it if their wife/gf/sub/slave was on the internet giving blow by blow details of their sex lives so that some random guy could get his jollies? I think that would be immensely disrespectful to Master.

I will give bits and pieces of experiences here on the forums. But I'm not giving detailed descriptions of what our latest sex act entailed.

Yeah. This sounds about right. I don't get that many from females though.

However, I do get comments about my age if I dare question the behavior of anyone 20 years my senior who messages me. Since when did being older give one license to act like an asshole? Pah.

I also get a lot of male Dominants who want to "experiment" with their submissive side.

I guess I just don't give it a lot of thought anymore. I've been on the site for a few years, made a few friends, a lot more aquaintances and ignored thousands of very forgettabe yutzes. It's the net. I don't have high expectations of it. It's fab for looking up information and communicating with people from locales I otherwise wouldn't. But yanno, for as much time as I spend on it, you would think I am more invested in it.

On here, people come and go. Often times without notice. I just don't allow myself to become emotionally invested until I have a lot more contact that the net offers.

I don't see the other side as 'dating' potential. More like humour potential with the occasional decent email........if I think to log in and actually check it. I find myself coming straight to the collarchat.com more and more, completely ignoring the collarme.com side. It's just not worth the bother.

Status: offline 		I don't get the same amount of craziness now as I did when I first joined. Maybe it's because I got rid of my old profile and set one up with subbie. Maybe it's a turn off to potential subs to see that I already have a boy and we've been together for awhile. I don't know. But when I first joined I remember I almost left after getting a random message from some guy about how he wanted to build a shrine to me. Yep build a shrine to this girl you haven't met, talked to, or even had the decency to introduce yourself to. He got blocked ASAP and came back with another profile saying the same BS again. Anyway, in my experience it's gotten less crazy or maybe the parameters for messaging me are more strict now, and so most crazies stay away. I don't know. I found vanilla dating sites to be even worse when I first started looking a few years back, so maybe that's why I feel the way I do.

I try not to think about it.

I don't see this as 'just' pixels on the screen, because these are real people with real access to real computers - they are also people from all over the country (and the world), people with families, people who hold down jobs, people who are part of society.

It doesn't really bother me that much. But if the 'other side' had a signature tune or theme song I'm pretty sure that this would be it.
