"Mitt Romney's not the solution. He's the problem."

The gloves are off and the fight is on...

I've no idea what's on Obama's mind.

But as Romney wants to FURTHER expand the military and FURTHER expand tax cuts, both unfunded, exactly what got us into this structural economic mess . . .

Hell no Romney!

We do not know for sure. Probably true. The problem is who is a greater problem Obama or Romney, assuming they (people in charge) install one of them? Obama trade deficit is record high. What it shows about his approach to outsourcing? If Obama really wants to win he should come out with some concrete economic plan. Hard to figure out the man, he does not seem to understand his role. Just hanging out there. It seems the elites (the oligarchs really) are happy with either of them. If not, we will see some "unexpected" event before the elections (stock market "correction", false flag attack and so on).

"The Commerce Department said on Wednesday that the trade deficit fell 3.8 percent to $48.7 billion in May, down from $50.6 billion in April.

"Exports rose 0.2 percent to $183.1 billion. The increase reflected stronger sales of telecommunications equipment and heavy machinery. Exports to the 27-nation European Union rose 2.6 percent in May from April. Imports dropped 0.7 percent to $231.8 billion. The amount the United States spent on imported oil fell to the lowest level in 15 months.

"A narrower trade gap means the United States is spending less on foreign products, while taking in more from sales of American goods."

I am kind of allergic to attempts to bring out some small period data for spreading optimism. We have to be realistic: fundamentally nothing has changed and no realistic program has been activated to cure the problems.
The question, regarding Obama is: who is he working for? If we believe globalist conspiracy theory, economic collapse in the US is by design. After all the Federal Reserve has passed trillions to foreign banks and multinational conglomerates.

I don't give a fuck what you're a "fan" of. You made a sweeping statement that's not accurate.

The rest of your rhetorical questions are just tin foil fantasies.

Trillions to foreign banks, eh? Could you show us the evidence from a legitimate source? Do you have any idea what a trillion dollars would look like? And your accusing the Obama administration of just handing them out to different banks like it was confetti.

President Obama works for the people of the United States of America. His job, is President. I'm sure you'll use a number of tinfoil hat conspiracies, but I require facts and evidence. Who does Mr. Romney work for? He certainly doesnt work towards the favor of the American people!

Believe or not, this is your problem,  not mine.

One may claim the Federal Reserve is an independent entity. it is really not true in practice, it is an arm of the government.

President Obama works mostly for the banking industry. It is ridiculous to claim he works for "people". He pretends to, yes. We do not know about Romney. In case he will be installed into the White House we will get the taste.

Come on, the whole economy heading south started well before Obama was elected.

I don't see Romney as a palatable alternative to Obama.

Incredible that you blame Obama, when your own link even states lending to banks started in 2007. I guess 2008 must have slipped your mind.

to US banks and corporations and foreign banks everywhere from France to Scotland. From the period between December 2007 and June 2010 <--from your article.

Actually, then, Bush was doing the gifting for over two years, and Obama ended it in 17 months.

We found the $16 trillion thanks to the Ron Paul (R)/Alan Grayson (D) amendment to the Frank/Dodd bill. It was only a partial audit of the Fed. A bigger audit is scheduled for a vote on the House floor this month. Fed chairman Ben Bernanke is fighting any further audits, stating that more transparency will destroy consumer confidence. In other words, we are better off not knowing where our money went. That kind of pisses me off. This would be an excellent opportunity for Romney to rail against the establishment and maybe pick up a few Ron Paul voters, but I suspect that he will avoid the issue if he can.

Where have you been ? If there isn't an increase in profits or a tax cut in Obama's stuff, the repugnant house of reps will never pass it. Plus, the senate repubs 1st priority...is to get him out...kapish ?

As for any black op on the pres. NO !! He IS and I repeat, he IS playing ball. He restored paper value, hasn't fucked with their freedom to risk $billions more knowing full well that our real socialists, the rich on wall street can come back, hat-in-hand for TARP II.

Next question.

It would also be a wonderful opportunity for Obama to show how Bush raped the Treasury in this last two years of office and how Obama put a stop to it.

You're seeing what you want to see.

Dude, again...where have you been ? That $16 trillion while as plausible as any amount...ISN'T there.

Capitalism is THE ultimate Ponzi, if everybody wanted their money...it ISN'T there.

Now do you understand c a p i t a l i s m ?

Honestly, I do not understand Obama apologists. There is no real leader, we have a smiley face with very little substance. The Bush ghost and Ben Bernanke are running the country. Obama had historic opportunity to be a great president, I see no reason for a second chance.

Actually President Obama is a good president. And he'll do another good four years for the American people.

That said, the president has one a consitant opponent who has done anything and everything to undermine him and the nation at large: The Grand Old Party. Who was against the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009? Republicans. Who was against having better laws and visiblity on the financial industry's workings? Republicans. Who was against allowing better health coverage to the nation's 310 million Americans? Republicans. Who was against the country in pulling American troops out of Iraq? Republicans. And these are the big ticket items.

When the White House wishs to obtain a few interns to help on non-critical issues, the 'bill' as it were still has to go through Congress. In years past, such stuff was so trivial it would past without an issue. Now, Republicans have been using many of the same tactics we saw with the creation, discussion and vote of the ACA on these trivial bills. If the Republicans are opposing the trivial stuff, what does that say of the serious issues of the day?

Last August, the deadline for the next budget was due with regards to the US Debt. Democrats had fashioned a bill that would have handled the issues of hte day. They didnt have to, since it wasnt their responsibility being Senate members. The House failed to deliever a sanely, reasonably plan, thrashed the Democratic one, and got nothing done. So the Super Committee was formed. And what was the penalty Fellow if that group failed in its task? Bet you dont even know! After it did fail, the credit rating for the country dropped from a triple 'A' to a double 'A'. Democrats as was reported in the media (convensional, internet, and cable) had come forward to do some compromising. They were willing to drop or limit a few key items to make the quote for thier side. The Republicans failed to do anything. That whole fisasco is on their plate, not the American people, the President, or Democrats.

The Republican Party didnt get the title of 'Party of No' for no nonsense reason. There were as listed above and plenty more that are not for gaining that infamous title. Dare I say, some of those Republicans were behaving, speaking, and writing material that was borderline treason! So 'yes', the President had more opposition to accomplish tasks and he's done very well at it.

He's also the President that got the guy who masterminded 9/11. What would Republicans have hoped for if they knew of the operation? For it to fail, all our soldiers getting killed or captured, and blaming the whole thing on the president in as venomous method as possible. It really isnt to hard to imagine what Republicans (and their conservative sheep at large) would have said or done if the mission wasn't a remarkable success. Go ahead, try to convince us that Republicans and conservatives would have been very forgiving if things had gone south on that mission.

You wouldnt give him a second chance because you never gave him a first chance! You have hated him for every success against incredible odds and intensive opposition.

Obama should stick with Forward... Or Foreclosed as I prefer to call it.

The not so surprising thing is, no matter what he attacks Romney with, he's done worse, and the usual suspects rise up in his defense.

Go ahead and keep attacking Bain, or outsourcing... It only makes Obama look like the weak, ineffectual leader he is.
