Status: offline 		This is my respondance to all who think they are looking for a real life time realtionship.  I hate to say but you are not going to fine it here, here you will fine nothing more then smoke and mirrors, made up of darken dreams, and unfilled fanstaies. of lost hidden desires, that the way we can explore though words and sharing of wants needs and desires.

Sorry, but I have to disagree.  I have met a wonderful Master here at CM and we are very happy.  In fact we will be looking at apartments together this weekend.

What does one say to a post like that?  I guess the kind thing to say is that I am sorry you are so disheartened to buy into that idea.  Having found something very different than that which you find to be truth here, I can only tell you that, you might want to consider not giving up, or at the very least, considering the idea that what you are professing might not be true beyond your own experience.

Again, I am sorry things have been hard enough to bring you to a decision like the one you have proclaimed in your OP.

Status: offline 		Much with many things in life BDSM is a fantasy. However there are many who have the courage to make it a reality. I am sorry you feel jaded; nevertheless angelface is testimony to courage in the face of adversity and fantasy realized.

Status: offline 		I am sorry you are down and disheartened right now. I haven't found a Dom to submit to on here, but people in my local community found me through here and brought me into real time. I have several new acquaintances and a couple of very good friends because of CM. Don't give up, just take your time.

jlb, just stop looking. There's plenty of good people on here. Although I did not find my sub on this site (rather he found me), that's not to say that the possibility of success can't occur. Frankly, I had just about given up when along he came and charmed me to bits. You've been here less than a month. The alternative lifestyle rarely produces instant results. I know from experience, mine and others', that the journey to find a suitable partner can take years. Relax, get to know the crowd and enjoy yourself in the meantime. Good luck.

slavejlb, my initial experiences here were not very good.  Let's see, there is the nut who keeps changing his profile everytime that I block him (so I stopped blocking him).  Now he just sends vicious mail to people that I know and care about.  There was the guy who wanted to run of to Vegas and get married after one date. There was the whole drama with some guy I went out with and another slave that he had under consideration (don't know who was telling the truth there and don't care.  Way too much drama)  Let's not forget the dozen or so who after a couple of emails or chats felt that I should change my profile to reflect that I belonged to them!  I could go on, but you get the idea. 

You know what?  My Master told me earlier this week that he was about to give up on CM for similar reasons...and then we met.  You see, it can happen, but you have to be open to it and patient.  Don't let the assholes get to you (and if they do, there is probably a thread open where you can bitch about it!)

I met the person I am currently seeing on a site that is even harder to meet "real" people than this one.. in fact he gave me the link to this site so I could meet a better class of lifestylers and more real people. But my advice to you is to make friends on here and meet local people if you find the internet full of fakers and want to be more certain of what you are dealing with.

Status: offline 		We are also sorry to hear that you are down and things have not fallen into place but we as the many others have said got to meet some very good friends and people from CM and all it took was patience and time.
From those we have had lovely times both here with them and at their places even form one were able to go to a BDSM munch and meet many others into the life style.
If it is nothing but a smoke screen then we will be in deep trouble this weekend as one of those people is comeing here for the weekend and has to travel 5 hours as we do to theirs and have the miles on the clock to say we did.

i could have sworn, that the Master to whom i am currently under consideration with, is on this site and found me here...
 
hmmm...  i must be one of the many deluded people who are on CM... maybe even i am not real either though

Status: offline 		Wow... I guess my Memorial Weekend was a dream. Because Wolf sure felt real to me. Having the feeling all is bullshit happens to the best when they get discouraged. Stepping back helps some. I did. Met Wolf... great guy. And yes met him on CM first before meeting off line. But when it comes to "on line" ... caution.... baby steps... watch for those signs that make the hair on the back of your neck stand up.. pay attention to it when it happens...and move on. If you don't me "the one" on here... you can still meet and chat with a bunch of great people... good luck.

I think this is more a reflection of your own negativity and obese cynicism. In this atrociously written paragraph you sweep aside the reality many are living though tears, blood and fire, and in so doing, you dishonor them.

I don't find myself saying this so surely about the many opinions expressed upon these threads, but quite simply, you're wrong.
