Mittens seems to not be able to help demonstrate that he`s not prepared or fit for the job.

Besides running the executive branch and military, the POTUS runs our foreign policy and is our chief diplomat.

Can`t wait to see what he does when he gets to Israel, at week`s end.

I am thinking he had better just cool it. Otherwise it will be fun as I am sure he will confirm our political diagnosis of having foot-in-mouth disease.

Taking the risk of loosing more and more independents every time he opens his mouth.

To be honest, I thought Romney was okay critiquing the Olympics preparation. When he came under fire for that, that was his chance to stand tall and say, "Dammit, I know the Olympics, and I know how to run them. If they're not comfortable with a critique from someone who knows his stuff, that's not my problem." Instead, he caved. Now he's just looking like a feckless fool.

He's not looking Presidential - the tour so far is a failure.

lol Lucy.. I cant stop laughing..

The media sure likes to portray him as a boob.. imo, it doesnt matter what he does, it will always be the wrong thing according to the media.. I think he knows he needs every vote he can get and therein lies the problem, he backtracks when someone takes offense to something he has done or said and looks wishy-washy and un-Prez-like.. But he is the one that wanted to take a run at getting the job so...

I dont really understand why he is over there sticking his nose into things anyway.. he hasnt got the job yet..

Meh...

The Brits had one single contractor who fucked up...big time and wasn`t able to man the force he was contracted for. He`s also keeping the multi-million pound retainer he was given.

It was completely unexpected as the contractor was global and huge and well regarded.

If anything....it`s a lesson against "privatization" and "to big to fail" operations doing vital things.

But the military has stepped in and are manning those posts and providing more than adequate security for the games.

It really was petty and stupid.Intended for our consumptions....he shot himself in the foot.....did you see his contritions and grovellings to the PM?!Get off your knee Mitt!

You don`t point out your host`s bad luck and insult them over it,especially if you`ve gotton the fucking story wrong. What a putz.

As we will learn about Mittens "saving" of the US Olympics......it`s a bullshit story. If Mittens keeps touting it and drawing attention to it like with the Bain Capital thing......he`ll end up having to run from his Olympic savior myth.....like he`s had to with Bain Capital.

Without the resources provided by the US government ,presided by Bill Clinton at the time to the tune of 1.3 billion, the US games would have never come off.

Of all the criticisms and high horsemanship and rude behavior by our pompous ally… the above is what truly makes sense…He needs to convince the American people he is Presidential first… Screw the rest of the world, they will just have to learn to deal with him if he wins.

Ex-Pats have money, typically a lot of money(living abroad tends to be expensive)
In addition it is a chance for the challenger to appear Presidential(candidate Obama went to Afghanistan and Iraq)this last isn't working out so well for Romney.....lol

Why the insult, is it just to get another thread locked.

Fact....Romney was critical of the games...... no real problems here at that point.

Fact....When called on it he flip flopped...... That didnt go down to well

Fact.....He disclosed meeting a spy chief, no doubt for publicity back home....... Shows poor protocol.

Fact....He called the leader of the opposition party "Mr Leader"............ Again, shows poor protocol.

Fact.....He made a reference to Anglo Saxon allegiences....... Hardly a good thing in a multiracial society

Yet you still have a problem with him getting called on it.......incredible.

I have not insulted anyone...Romney did not insult anyone...he was insulted. There was a time when the leaders of the UK would be above such pettiness. They would let his words and deeds stand on their own for better or worse.

Flip flop may show his true nature but they are not deserving of the insulting response they received. How would you feel if you were a native of Salt Lake City being called nowhere. He may be an idiot but the response to him is pompous.

You keep saying I am trying to make this an America against the UK…All I am doing is pointing out rude behavior as I see it.

We don't agree ok...but you don't see me calling your politicians or you names.

Another classy response...yet you don't seem to be able to step back and see your response is no better then the supposed insult...you are all showing you are more alike than different.
