ORIGINAL: DarkSteven To be honest, I thought Romney was okay critiquing the Olympics preparation. When he came under fire for that, that was his chance to stand tall and say, "Dammit, I know the Olympics, and I know how to run them. If they're not comfortable with a critique from someone who knows his stuff, that's not my problem." Instead, he caved. Now he's just looking like a feckless fool. He's not looking Presidential - the tour so far is a failure. Meh... The Brits had one single contractor who fucked up...big time and wasn`t able to man the force he was contracted for. He`s also keeping the multi-million pound retainer he was given. It was completely unexpected as the contractor was global and huge and well regarded. If anything....it`s a lesson against "privatization" and "to big to fail" operations doing vital things. But the military has stepped in and are manning those posts and providing more than adequate security for the games. It really was petty and stupid.Intended for our consumptions....he shot himself in the foot.....did you see his contritions and grovellings to the PM?!Get off your knee Mitt! You don`t point out your host`s bad luck and insult them over it,especially if you`ve gotton the fucking story wrong. What a putz. As we will learn about Mittens "saving" of the US Olympics......it`s a bullshit story. If Mittens keeps touting it and drawing attention to it like with the Bain Capital thing......he`ll end up having to run from his Olympic savior myth.....like he`s had to with Bain Capital. Without the resources provided by the US government ,presided by Bill Clinton at the time to the tune of 1.3 billion, the US games would have never come off. http://www.youfootball.info/did-mitt-romney-really-save-the-salt-lake-olympics/
