More lies and hyperbole from Obama, who would have thunk it.

It is one thing to accuse but quite something else to actually prove what you say in your moronic post.

I wonder how anyone seriously believes theres a comparative military force in the private sector to the government military, which the faulty and ridiculous Obama campaign premise that ooh, "Mitt Romney plans SCARY cuts to military wages" is entirely dependent on there being a comparative private sector military, and that provate military force is paid less than our government military is being paid

Or "compensated"

Have you ever heard of a company called "blackwater" Would you like to see military pay and benifits equal to blackwater's?

Employee contributions to healthcare coverage isn't too much to ask.  Maybe scratch two holidays off the federal list, and give them back one floater.  I'd like to see much bigger changes, but that's a subject that's been done.

One has to wonder why someone who works for a living would want to see another workers compensation reduced instead of reducing the compensation of the workers employers.

Thus far, every charge against Romney made by Obama has been proven grossly misleading or outright false...even by liberal Obama supporting Fackcheck.org and the Washington Post.

Not so

The military does not efficiently use the money it gets and a serious study should be made about how much money could be cut without affecting military strength. That said, pay attention on how Putin is mouthing off. Putin wants to want to build up the Soviet military as a superpower again. They now have oil revenue to accomplish this. Russia is building up and we should cut our military? Chief of General Staff, Nikolai Makarov in his May 3rd statement said, "If the situation worsens, the russian military will use destructive force PREEMPTIVELY." This is in regard to the US missle defense plans in Europe.

In his famous open microphone gaffe in March, Obama told Medvedev it would be wise to save the talks about the missle defense system until after the US elections, when Obama would have "more flexability." I assume this means more flexability to "bend over" in front of Putin. In May, Putin basically gave Obama (the great foreign affairs expert) the finger and said he was "too busy to come to the US for the G-8 summit." Yeah, keep singing peace songs. I'm sure Russia, China, North Korea and Iran will hear you and suddenly disarm!

One can tell who has no expertise in military affairs and realpolitik quite readily.

To be technical about it, it was well after his presidency that he used one.

What concerns me is that they would bring up Hoover or W in an election year.

Well, it would take Hoover to get us into an even deeper recession than the last one.

In fairness to the poor guy, he was a skilled administrator and worked wonders with food supplies during and after World War I. But he was too blinkered by laissez-faire and "rugged individualism" to address the Great Depression.

I believe he was the last President to write his own speeches.

He also insisted on clinging to ill-advised tariffs literally 1000 economists warned against in a signed statement on the eve of the great crash.

And now we have the Greeks and the Obamas and the Castros and California and Detroit showing us the opposite extreme to "rugged individualism" and the associated consequences

I have a different view of that.    Smoot-Hawley was signed 8 months after the crash, when 95% of demand (as viewed thru GDP) had dried up.

I am a believer in tarriffs and I think we should have tons of them in this country, for cause.

FR -

Obama: "The law doesnt apply to me."

quote:

Obama's Labor Department on Monday issued "guidance" to the states, telling them that a federal law requiring advance notice of mass layoffs does not apply to the layoffs that may occur in January as a result of automatic budget cuts known as "sequestration."

...

Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) also criticized the Obama administration for the "obvious political aim" of its guidance on the WARN Act.

...

Republicans say President Obama has refused to engage in the debate and will share responsibility for the potential loss of one million jobs if sequestration takes effect.

"The Senate Armed Services Committee has received letters from eight defense companies, all of which advise that they will have to lay off thousands – if not tens of thousands – of workers if sequestration occurs. These Americans deserve fair warning that politics in Washington is placing their jobs in jeopardy," McCain and Ayotte said.

Under the Budget Control Act of 2011, if Congress can't produce deficit-reduction legislation by the end of the year, automatic spending cuts will take effect in 2013, split 50-50 between domestic and defense spending. That amounts to a $500-billion cut to the Defense budget over ten years.

The view is correct and legal from the administration, you will not know 60 days before the sequestration deadline (remember why our credit is downgraded) that it will in fact happen, you should not send out lay off notices due to rightwing teabagging neo-conmen hysteria and ineptitude, there may yet be a chance for the realistic view to prevail.

If not, it isn't going to be Obama that will suffer, it will be the teabaggers.

Try to think realistically about this.
