Actaully,THAT was the Politico story that caused the cons to throw their new friend in the media under the bus......after heeping praise on them for posting negative stories about democrats.


Rightist media thought it was SO UNFAIR to have a dirty little secret like that outed......[sm=river.gif]


After that......Politico....a VERY good and honest politcal news website was trashed by cons as liberal biased.....

Just cuz he pays for the horse doesnt mean its his "thing".. imo if it wasnt for his wife wanting to get into that and it being her "thing", he wouldnt have a horse at all.. my ex's previous girlfriend was into dressage, she even bred her horse specifically for that.. she wasnt rich tho, she did it all on a secretary's salary.. so you dont need to be filthy rich to be into that..

The first might be anecdotal, charged and convicted means reasonable doubt has been taken away from the evidence. (not reagan's 150,000, but a conviction on 8,000 of that)She appealed some of he ID manipulation charges.

There was a law passed after the Kennedy
administration that put a cap what gifts
a sitting president can keep. It is below
a thousand dollars. I know this is for any
gifts from a foreign country but I believe
it also covers domestic gifts as well.
Designers loan first ladies clothes for
the free advertising. They might give her
a discount if she wanted to buy something.

It's a no win situation for any first lady.
If they were frugal and made their own
clothes with fabric they bought at Walmart
they'd be criticized for being frumps who
reflected badly on the country.

Reagan was a stealth class warrior.
He put the welfare queen on the map
and made her a bogeyman.

The Queen doesn't dress like a housewife.
She has everything custom made down to
her knickers for the most part. She dresses
in a dignified way befitting her station.

A dressage horse isn't a race horse.
Keeping any horse isn't cheap.
Dressage can be done to a certain
point on a modest budget. But people
who compete in the big events or
make it to the Olympic level are sinking
a nice bit of change into their passion.

Mrs Edith Wilson was criticized in her day
for her low cut dresses. How low was to
low in those days would no doubt be amusing
to modern eyes.

Wrong. The left didn't have a fit when Sarah "wore" expensive clothes. For one thing, she managed to make them look not expensive by wearing cheap, ill fitting undergarments and accessories. What the left had a fit about (as did the FEC) was the fact that Sarah walked out the door with 150K worth of clothing after the election was over. So obviously, those clothes weren't a loan from the designer. In fact, they were purchased by the RNC, who probably was a little unhappy with Sarah over the whole mess too.

Why was that OK, but it isn't OK for Ms. Obama to wear a nice, likely borrowed, jacket when she meets the Queen? Who, by the way, does NOT dress "like a housewife". And the Romneys own a dressage horse, not a race horse. Can conservatives ever get ANY of their facts straight?

Sure, competing on the Olympic level is more expensive.. do you enjoy watching such events? I sometimes like to watch gigi jumping, it is not a passion of mine so I would never sink money into an expensive horse, or any horse since I cant ride anymore.. unless you own a farm already, they do cost a bit.. but.. if it were not for those that do have the money to do that, I and other people that enjoy watching these beautiful creatures would not get the chance.. so better they spend their coin than me.. [;)]
