imo, the aide was just as disrespectful as the news-hungry reporters (& the ignorant slut) are.. dont you think the reporters live for instances like this?? And what does that say about their character? quote:
why fall into that trap? It was really very stupid, and the aide knows this or he wouldnt have apologized half an hour later (but a bit too late cuz now he has those around him thinking he isnt up for the job and he has made his boss look bad as well).. There are ways of dressing down reporters in public without making yourself and your boss look like boobs.. He apologized because that's what's expected. Politics is filled with insincere apologies. Whether that particular aide's apology was sincere or not, I don't know but I'm willing to bet that "those around him" probably felt the same way he did at that moment. I dont care what it says about the reporters, its their job to dig up dirt. If an aide loses his cool like that & so easily, then imo he shouldnt be doing that job.. He is just not in control of himself and not trained well enough.. but then I have never been impressed by hot-heads.. Of course an apology is expected, the aide was wrong.. Even if those around him probably felt the same way he did at that moment, he still made them all look bad and imo, he got his arse kicked around the block for not being civil.. No matter how you feel about reporters, two wrongs do not make a right..
