I find it curious that this FOX News guy doesnt explain things correctly, but as a conspiracy. If you read 'The Creature from Jekyll Island' and understand the events at the time (see the wikipedia.org on the Federal Reserve), the information presented by FOX News is misleading, wrong, and highly inaccurate. In the book, the author explains a concept that was in place book then call 'The Money Trust'. It was basically the concept that if one had lots of money, they could become a senator, representatives, or dare I say.....President! The idea was to stroke fearmongering on the public that had gone through a terrible financial panic in 1907. That only canidates backed with big money wins elections, and the common folk basically get shut out. Sound familiar? Page 8 of the book explains why these fellows, who representated some big investment companies, got together with the Republican whip of the Senate and one other goverment offical (I honestly forget off the top of my head who it is....). The best way to explain 'The Money Trust', is like the SuperPACs of today. Why all the secrecy? Do you think the public of now, would give any credibility to a bunch of guys that represent the largest of large SuperPACs of today, stating they have a bill that will destroy the SuperPACs cus its in the best interests of America; would you take their bill seriously? Yeah, thats sort of what the public was like back in 1913. This was explained inthe book on page 10-11. I only managed to read the first 15 of 48 pages. What FOX News gives for information....sucks. If you wish to read the book, I did find a PDF when I typed in the book's name plus pdf.
