Subjective question here. Some would say by submitting that is a form of humiliation. So, if someone said's they are submissive, they are saying they enjoy to submit. and since their views are that if a person submits is humiliating, that they enjoy humiliation.

Then again, if a person enjoys being humiluated, then would it really be humiliation if they enjoy it, or just fun?

I consider humiliation a fetish, and although submission can be a fetish too, they are different fetishes, and there is no correlation between any two fetishes I've ever found. Though certain ones seem to be found in tandem more frequently, they seem to occur much more often independently, thus any correlation is likely due to some other external factor.

Flogging Ron however, just makes plain good sense.

I suspect you meant that only those women (or men) who endure your humiliation compulsion are "true" submissiveness.

Rule, I'm one of the folks who voted maybe. The reason for that is because I know submissives who enjoy that particular kink as well as those who don't. Since you didn't have an option that said it depends on the individual, maybe was the closest answer that matched My thought process.

I believe I have, Rule. I'm not especially sure that the distinction between submissive and slave (as I see the term) applies. Instead, I would draw the line between enjoyment and stipulation. Some enjoy humiliation for it's own sake. For others, while they do not necessarily enjoy it, humiliation can be a wonderful bonding tool.

Hopefully, this will explain My answer and why I chose that particular option.

I will tell you now that according to my model of the human mind the only correct answer to the poll is the first: "No, a true sub does not love to be humiliated". They may endure humiliation, but they do not love it. In fact it is detrimental to his or her mental well-being.

A natural slave on the other hand may desire humiliation.

As for the other ilk, that will have to be decided on an individual basis.

I just saw this poll. I voted 'what do you mean?' as you have to define your terms before you can ask this question.

What precisely *is* a 'genuine submissive?' How I define the term and how someone else defines it will be different.

What precisely do you mean by humiliation? Again, how I define it and how others define it will be different.

Which make this a nonsense poll, most likely why I didn't bother to answer when it came out back in August.

I did want to point out how full of wrong the following statement is:
