I guess this is the right place to ask if anyone here watches Parasite Nightmare over on Discovery channel?

Oh, or Monsters Inside Me? Enough to make a person just move into a plastic bubble.

That's the one I was thinking of!

I like that show.

Imagine the mindfuck of making a sub watch the episode on botflies and then a couple of plain houseflies in a jar pressed against their naked skin.

Honestly I am way more appalled by the horrible parasite borne diseases rather than the infestations...

FR
Monsters Inside Me is a mindfuck in of itself.
My neighbor had a spider crawl in her mouth
while she was sleeping. She woke up chewing
on it. And one got into my cup of tea once
and I unknowingly took a sip. I didn't
wash it down though. It wasn't a swimmer
apparently as it was deceased when I
spit it out.
I'm not terribly squicked by spiders even
though my stepfather was bit by a
venomous one and required a hospital
stay to recover from it.

I do get creeped out about thinking of
something going into my ear and I don't
like having my ears touched or anything.

I am a scab picker-boil lancer-splinter digger, so I would be going after myself with a pocketknife if I thought something was rummaging where it shouldn't...

You know that "what are you afraid of?" thread? This belongs there too. Creepy crawlies in ear canals, along with all parasites, is awful.

When I was about 18 I went to hospital with a dislocated shoulder. While I was waiting in the cubicle waiting for the doctor to come and put my shoulder back, there was a guy in the next cubicle who was complaining of deafness, pain and a buzzing sensation in one ear.

The doc had a look and I remember him saying 'holy shit!' before running out of the cubicle. Apparently there was a live wasp in this guy's ear, and it had been there for over 24 hours. It had gone in headfirst, making it difficult to remove without it stinging the guy. They had to drip chloroform in his ear to anaesthetise the wasp, then remove it with tweezers.

I recall sleeping with cotton wool plugs in my ears for a few weeks afterwards...

This ain't shit. A guy was complaining his eye hurt and when the doctors checked him out there were a bunch of WORMS living in his eye socket ! I think that happened in India.

I will not provide a link, because it might be too much for some viewers considering the reactions here. Myself, I have had something crawl around in my nose but there is an easy solution for that.

Sounds familiar. I still have a nasty scar from trying to dig a worm out of my chest, way back. Yay for drug induced psychosis.
