there's also a fish that seeks out ammonia, and if yer dumb enough to piss in the water of the amazon it'll swim up yer pee holes and stay there with its barbs(it normally lives in other fish's gills)
and botflys, that lay there larva into yer flesh, they burrow in and live off yer flesh till they "leave the nest"
under cooked pork can give you brainworms
Maggot therapy is now actually prescribed in some extreme cases, the docs actually add the lil buggers to wounds with a lot of dead tissue/infection and infection prone tissue, the lil guys munch on away while ya read a book and then the doc will scrape em off and give you a new batch, they dye the lil buggers pink to make finding them a lil easier, and to assure that they are quarantined from any nasty bacteria that non farm raised flys wallow in
