Not his mouth, the other mouths. The food stamps program has been the fastest growing program under Obama presidency.

How odd during prolonged unemployment.

yeh but wall street is doing fine so the economy is just dandy.

everyone got the fucking war they wanted so they have no reason to whine about paying the piper!

There are two economies in the U.S., since Reagan. The top one is doing fine. The bottom one is stagnant.

There is absolutely a class war, and it's going to get larger as structural problems are ignored, because the national debt is going to worsen whether Dems or Reps are in charge; neither has a realistic plan, just pet agenda.

Ending the two economies would do MUCH for economic health--an economy is resources freely flowing. They aren't, and could be.

Richmond Times Dispatch Op/Ed by Governor Bob McDonnell

The rhetoric coming from the Obama campaign has shown that the president seems to have a certain disdain for people who work to improve their lot in life. Now, he has done what a lot of us have been asking him to do for quite a while. He has "stepped up to the plate". The trouble is; we're not playing baseball. He's playing with peoples' lives and our money.

To sum up the link above, the current failure-in-chief has circumvented the 1996 "welfare-to-work" portion of the bipartisan reform bill.

There's a couple of ways we can look at this, I guess. Either the president does loathe the fact that people work (which explains his ineffectual economic recovery plan) or he is saying that a whole bunch of people (President Clinton amongst them) were wrong in 1996.

The only argument for this action that I can think of is that with his (Obama's) failure to stimulate the economy, as promised, it's kind of tough to require people to work in order to get their government check.

All of that aside, a law that was passed by congress and signed by a former president has been gutted - in a round about way - by a sitting president that hasn't managed to get America back to work but he's managed to find another way to squeeze more money out of the people that do work.

Kudos, once again, go to the great destroyers!

Peace and comfort,
Michael

Well first off, you construct the typical and absolutely false premise that the pres. campaign has done any such thing. So we start from a lie.

His welfare offer has done no such thing as I am sure you know...it is a slow news day apparently. So we continue with another lie.

I guess Ryan's proposal to finally invade Mexico and Canada, you know...to get this continent finally united in our greed and corruption...just didn't make the prime-time cut hey ?

Yes, but there are no meaningful jobs programs put in place, rather anti-jobs activities are continuing. Recessions last as long as the government wants (lets) them last. Four years and no progress whatsoever?

From 17.2% to 15.2%... thats "no improvement"?

Yachtie, you haven't been around for a while. The left has taken out the old "liberal debate playbook"

Of course, today's still unreasonably high unemployment is President Bush's fault, according to the left (please see No. 2).

Peace and comfort,

Michael

I think the standard "liberal" answer to pointing that out is that Obama is just another politician, why would you expect anything but lies and empty rhetoric and the usual cronyism etc from him

It would be kinda ridiculous to question government statistics.

Based upon the information in that link, one might even say it's trending up (unless there's a "D" after their name and they're on one of those Sunday morning "talking heads" shows)

Peace and comfort,

So what's the Romney plan again?

Oh yeah. More tax cuts to create more jobs that never in fact materialize.

Good Day to All,

I really don't enjoy hacking up your threads. I'm asking nicely for you all to heed the guidelines for this forum. Please do not make another poster the topic of your post and personal attacks have no place in the forum.

Thank you

A plan, as evidenced by his VP pick who is famous / infamous for having a plan

As opposed to more of Obamas lies, his hollow campaign promises that he has no intention of revisiting after the election, just like last time he took so many people for fools

SilverMark -> RE: President Obama Puts Our Money Where His Mouth Is (8/12/2012 7:26:36 PM)

Good thing Romney realized he needed a Vice President with a plan, because lord knows Romney has nevr had one!

C'mon Tom, a VP with a plan?

Don't those people just hide for 4 years and hope no one realizes they are there until it's their turn to run?

How'd that last VP pick work out for you 4 years ago....you touted her pretty strongly....you remember, pretty girl, IQ slightly less than room temperature...

Sanity -> RE: President Obama Puts Our Money Where His Mouth Is (8/12/2012 7:31:46 PM)

I will gladly take Governor Palin over your big mouthed idiot boy Biden any day Mark, but what does that have to do with any of this

Haven't been on with you for awhile Tom, there is nothing I like more than having fun with you![8D] that and you were discussing Congressman Ryan...and his "PLAN"

Don't you think it is a weak candidate that has a stronger running mate then he is?

A Veep candidate that is better known for policy than the head of the ticket, seems a bit unusual....Reagan/ Bush, Clinton/ Gore, unless of course your side is going for Bush/Cheney Redux?
